Position Overview
Meri Awaz Trust is seeking a dynamic, responsible and field-oriented Program Officer to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, coordination and documentation of its development projects. The Program Officer will serve as an important link between the MAT management team, field teams, beneficiaries, implementing partners, government stakeholders and other project stakeholders. The position requires frequent travel to MAT project locations. The selected candidate must be comfortable undertaking regular field visits, including travel to rural and remote project areas, as required by the organization.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

A. Project Planning & Implementation • Support the planning and implementation of MAT's ongoing and upcoming projects. • Prepare project-wise implementation plans, activity schedules, field plans and monthly work plans. • Ensure project activities are implemented according to approved proposals, timelines, budgets and expected deliverables. • Coordinate with field teams and partners for timely execution of activities. • Identify implementation challenges and recommend appropriate corrective measures. • Ensure adherence to organizational procedures and donor/CSR requirements during project implementation.

B. Field Coordination & Travel • Undertake frequent visits to MAT project locations for implementation, supervision and monitoring. • Coordinate field-level meetings, trainings, workshops, awareness programmes, community mobilization activities and other project events. • Interact directly with beneficiaries and community institutions to assess project progress and emerging requirements. • Verify field activities, beneficiary participation and utilization of project-supported assets/services. • Submit structured field visit reports with observations, photographs, achievements, challenges and recommended follow-up actions. • Be prepared to travel and stay at project locations whenever required for official assignments.

C. Stakeholder Coordination • Maintain effective coordination with government departments, district/block-level officials, Panchayati Raj Institutions, CSR representatives, NGOs, community-based organizations and other stakeholders. • Support meetings with District Administration and relevant government departments for project implementation and convergence. • Represent MAT in meetings, workshops and field-level coordination forums when authorized. • Maintain professional relationships with project partners and stakeholders.

D. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting • Regularly monitor project outputs, outcomes, targets and key performance indicators. • Collect and verify field-level quantitative and qualitative data. • Maintain project MIS, beneficiary databases and activity trackers. • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and project-specific progress reports. • Document project achievements, success stories, case studies, beneficiary testimonials and best practices. • Immediately highlight significant implementation delays, risks or compliance issues to management.

E. Training & Capacity Building • Assist in planning and organizing capacity-building programmes for beneficiaries, community members, field teams and other stakeholders. • Coordinate resource persons, training venues, participants, logistics and training materials. • Maintain participant attendance, pre/post assessment records, photographs and training documentation. • Support post-training follow-up and assessment of application of learning.

F. Proposal & Programme Development Support • Assist the management team in preparing concept notes, project proposals, presentations and project-related documentation. • Undertake basic secondary research and field need assessments for development of new projects. • Collect district/state-level data and information required for CSR and development proposals. • Support preparation of project budgets, implementation frameworks, logical frameworks and activity plans, as assigned. G. Documentation & Compliance • Maintain complete project documentation in both physical and digital formats. • Ensure proper maintenance of beneficiary records, attendance sheets, photographs, consent records, field reports and supporting documents. • Assist in preparing documentation required for donor/CSR monitoring visits, audits and project reviews. • Ensure appropriate branding and visibility of MAT and supporting partners at project locations as per approved guidelines.

Educational Qualification
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Development Studies, Sociology, Public Administration, Management, Agriculture, Public Health, Education or another relevant discipline. • Candidates with MSW/MBA in Rural Management/Development Management or equivalent postgraduate qualifications may be preferred. Experience • Preferably 2–4 years of relevant experience in NGO, CSR, rural development, community development, government programmes or social-sector project implementation. • Candidates with strong field-level experience and demonstrated ability to independently coordinate development programmes will be preferred. • Experience working with government departments, CSR projects, NGOs or community institutions will be an advantage. Required Skills & Competencies The candidate should possess: • Strong project implementation and field coordination skills. • Good understanding of community development and social-sector programmes. • Ability to work directly with rural and disadvantaged communities. • Good written and verbal communication skills. • Report writing and documentation capabilities. • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. • Ability to maintain project MIS and beneficiary data. • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills. • Ability to organize meetings, trainings and community events. • Problem-solving and decision-making ability at the field level. • Ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams. • Willingness and ability to work under project deadlines and target-oriented environments. Travel Requirement Frequent travel is an essential requirement of this position. The Program Officer will be expected to travel regularly to Meri Awaz Trust project locations, including rural and remote areas, for project implementation, monitoring, stakeholder meetings, beneficiary interactions, training programmes and other official assignments. Candidates who are unwilling or unable to undertake frequent field travel should not apply for this position. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Performance of the Program Officer may be assessed on: • Timely implementation of assigned project activities. • Achievement of project targets and deliverables. • Quality and frequency of field monitoring. • Accuracy and timeliness of MIS and progress reports. • Quality of project documentation. • Beneficiary mobilization and stakeholder coordination. • Timely identification and resolution/escalation of field-level issues. • Quality of training and event coordination. • Compliance with project, donor and organizational requirements. • Professional conduct and accountability during field assignments. Salary & Benefits Consolidated Salary: ?25,000/- per month Travel and other official expenses incurred during approved project-related field assignments may be reimbursed/covered as per the prevailing policies and procedures of Meri Awaz Trust. General Conditions The Program Officer will be required to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct, integrity, confidentiality and accountability. The employee shall comply with all policies, procedures, safeguarding requirements and administrative instructions of Meri Awaz Trust. The nature of development projects may require flexibility in working hours and field schedules. The selected candidate should therefore be willing to work according to programme requirements, including travel and field assignments as directed by the organization. Meri Awaz Trust reserves the right to modify or assign additional responsibilities to the Program Officer based on project and organizational requirements.
