Gram Praudyogik Vikas Sansthan, popularly known as GPVS is a registered NGO registered under Societies Act XXI of 1860 and ISO 9001-2015 certified,is working since 1989 in Bihar & Jharkhand. We have been partnering with Government, International/National donors and local communities.
The organisation has been provided with the mandate of running Children Home and Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA), from Government of Jharkhand (Department of Women, Child Development & Social Security). The organisation is looking to fill various positions with able candidates in District Dhanbad of Jharkhand. The position is as follows:

Post- Superintendent , Children Home(Girls),Dhanbad
Gender- Female
Age – up to 45 Yrs
Salary - Rs. 25,000/-

Job Description:
She/he shall be responsible for control and management of the Institution.
Shall be responsible for maintaining minimum standards of care in the institution.
Planning, implementation and coordination of all institutional activities, programmes and operations including training and rehabilitation programmes;
Liaison, coordination and cooperation with the District Child Protection Society and the State Government as and when required;
Make efforts to deinstitutionalise children by focussing on family restoration, and by linkages with adoption agencies, sponsorship, foster care and after care programmes in the district.

Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
•A Post-graduate in Social Work/ Sociology/Psychology/Political Science/Law
•A Graduate in any other stream with diploma in child protection/ counselling /child development from a recognized University or a reputed Institute may also apply.
•At least 3 years of experience working in child related programmes.
•Experience in managing a child care institution.
•Should have good knowledge of the legal framework for child protection.

Desired Skills:
•Excellent oral and written communication skills in Hindi.
•Having good planning, coordination and public relation skills.
•Demonstrable managerial skills.
•Should have problem solving and leadership and team work skills.
•Knowledge of working in government system.
•Ability to work on MS-Office.
