Sristy For Human Society invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of Outreach Worker (ORW) for its Bridge Population Targeted Intervention (TI) Project, implemented under the West Bengal State AIDS Prevention & Control Society (WBSAP&CS) in Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling districts.

The Outreach Worker will be responsible for field-level outreach and mobilization of the target population, implementation of hotspot-wise micro-plans, rapport building, behaviour change communication, service linkage, follow-up and coordination with Peer Educators and other project staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular field-level outreach among the identified target population at designated hotspots and intervention locations.
Develop and maintain rapport and trust with the target population and mobilize them for HIV prevention and other relevant health services.
Support implementation and regular updating of hotspot-wise micro-plans and line lists.
Conduct interpersonal communication (IPC), behaviour change communication and risk-reduction sessions.
Facilitate referrals and linkages to ICTC, STI clinics, ART Centres and other relevant health services.
Follow up with beneficiaries who require testing, treatment, counselling or other health services.
Work closely with Peer Educators to ensure effective outreach coverage and service uptake.
Maintain accurate outreach records, registers and other field-level documentation.
Coordinate with the Counsellor and M&E cum Accounts Officer for beneficiary tracking, data recording, reporting and follow-up.
Ensure appropriate distribution and availability of condoms, lubricants, BCC materials and other outreach commodities at the designated hotspots.
Participate in community meetings, awareness activities, advocacy and stakeholder engagement activities.
Participate in project review meetings, training and capacity-building programmes.
Support the Project Manager/Coordinator and other project staff in effective implementation of field activities.
Maintain confidentiality, dignity and non-discriminatory practices while working with the target population.
Ensure all outreach activities are implemented in accordance with applicable NACO and WBSAP&CS guidelines.
Perform any other official duties or responsibilities assigned by the organization from time to time, as required for the effective functioning and implementation of the project.

Eligibility / Qualification:
Minimum Higher Secondary (10+2) qualification.
Graduates will be given preference.
The candidate must be a resident of / belong to the project intervention location (Jalpaiguri/Darjeeling/Siliguri, as applicable to the assigned intervention area).
Good knowledge of the local community, language and field environment of the intervention area.
Candidates with relevant experience in community outreach, HIV/AIDS, public health or social development programmes will be preferred.
Good communication, interpersonal and community mobilization skills.
