About Kamalnayan Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation:
Kamalnayan Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation (KJBF) is working extensively towards women’s economic empowerment through the promotion and strengthening of income generation activities and Women Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). The Foundation facilitates women’s access to productive assets, livelihood opportunities, small-scale enterprises, and both formal and informal sources of credit, enabling them to build sustainable and self-reliant livelihoods.
KJBF is looking for a young, energetic, dynamic, and experienced woman professional who can provide practical and innovative solutions for developing self-reliant, group-based enterprises. The selected candidate will be responsible for facilitating access to credit, guiding groups in preparing project proposals, promoting entrepreneurship, strengthening post-harvest management, and developing brands for agricultural and non-agricultural products.
The position will support sustainable economic development of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), women-led enterprises, and producer groups in Wardha district, Maharashtra, and Sikar district, Rajasthan.
Educational Qualifications & Key Competencies :
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Agriculture, Rural Development Management, or an MBA in Rural Development Management from a reputed institution or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in project design, project management, business development, and brand development with women’s groups.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of rural development and social development programmes.
- Demonstrated experience in entrepreneurship development and livelihood promotion.
- Strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Result-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness and flexibility to undertake responsibilities assigned by the organization.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to work extensively at project sites in rural areas.
Age:
30–35 years
Experience:
Minimum 8+ years of experience in the development sector, with demonstrated experience in:
- Documentation and reporting.
- Community mobilization and institution building.
- Formation, strengthening, and management of village-level institutions.
- Business development and enterprise promotion.
- Facilitating access to funds and financial support under various government and institutional schemes.
- Designing and implementing projects for developing self-reliant groups and women-led enterprises on a larger scale.
- Brand development and market promotion of agricultural and off-farm products.
- Post-harvest management and value addition.
- Experience in integrated rural development projects will be an added advantage.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and promote businesses and brands for agricultural and off-farm products produced by women’s groups.
- Facilitate market linkages, value addition, post-harvest management, and enterprise development.
- Support women’s groups in accessing formal credit, government schemes, and other financial resources.
- Guide groups in preparing business plans and project proposals for livelihood and enterprise development.
- Maintain active and productive relationships with relevant stakeholders, institutions, financial organizations, government departments, and market players.
- Guide and mentor programme teams and volunteers in planning, designing, and implementing need-based rural entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Ensure active participation in team planning, implementation, monitoring, and review processes.
- Document key activities, innovations, learnings, challenges, outcomes, and success stories for various forums.
- Regularly assess the socio-economic and cultural profile of communities in the project area and identify emerging opportunities and challenges.
- Monitor and assess the impact and benefits of interventions and recommend appropriate improvements.
- Undertake field visits regularly and provide technical and strategic guidance to project teams and community institutions.
Salary:
Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s current/previous salary, qualifications, and relevant experience.
