YouthInvest Foundation (YouthInvest) is a not-for-profit organisation working to ensure rights to health, education and livelihoods for adolescents and youth (10-24 years). YouthInvest envisions healthy, educated, emotionally well-adjusted and skilled adolescents and youth – especially from marginalised and disadvantaged populations – entering adulthood.
YouthInvest, as the partner of “Mission Sunehra Kal (ITC MSK)”, initiated the project “Accelerating Reduction of Child Malnutrition through System Strengthening for Frontline Delivery of Nutrition Services in early 2020 to support the Department of Social Welfare, Govt of Assam, in its efforts to reduce the child malnutrition level in Kamrup and Darrang, Baksa, Barpeta, Dhubri, Goalpara, Hailakandi, Kamrup Metro, Udalguri, Nalbari, Morigaon districts of Assam.
YouthInvest seeks to hire qualified professionals for this project based in the below-mentioned districts where the project is operational. The position is full-time contractual, renewable on a yearly basis, subject to performance and availability of funds.

Position summary: Key member responsible for system strengthening on child nutrition related issues at the district and block levels through capacity-enhancement of functionaries at various levels in the POSHAN and ICDS system. Establish a mechanism for follow-up support and periodically share project progress with staff, governmental officials, and other stakeholders.

Job description:
• Develop Model Hub Sector and continuous capacity building of the Supervisor
• Tracking of beneficiaries’ monthly basis
• Collect beneficiary data from the AWC/ Field and assist the DC to prepare a master list of beneficiaries
• Collect Key Progress Indicators data from the system (ICDS) monthly.
• Regular field visit with the Supervisor to ensure intervention and outcome
• Regular interactions with the District Resource Team and block-level officials on intervention challenges and progress.
• Attend/organise the District and the Block level meetings periodically.
• Undertakes field visits for quality implementation and monitoring.
• Handhold support to the supervisor to set nutrition-specific interventions at the Block level, sector level and AWC level.
• Providing handholding support to the Block to identify the most vulnerable areas or pockets where additional focus needs to be given
• Demonstrating innovative initiatives in some selected areas which can be replicated in the entire
• Prepare monthly reports and maintain daily records and registers.
• Overall support to the district for the implementation of HBPM strategy to reduce underweight, SAM & MAM.
Qualification, experience and skills required:
• Minimum graduate degree in Social Science / Social work/ Public Health or related field with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the health or nutrition sector with progressively increasing responsibility.
• Fluency in Assamese, Hindi, and English is essential.
• Experience of working with the district/state Government Is preferred, especially with the ICDS Department.
• Demonstrated experience in training/capacity building.
• Expertise in computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. essential.
• Basic data analysis using MS Excel and report writing in English is essential.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, while also proactively and regularly communicating upward relevant progress updates and bottlenecks requiring attention or support from leadership.
• Action-oriented, flexible approach and entrepreneurial problem-solver, with an ability to manage multiple competing deadlines.
Remuneration:
CTC will be 3.6 lakhs per annum.
