Communications and Networking Facilitator
Organisation: LAYA Resource Centre
Location: Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh | Position: Full-time
Reports to: Executive Director / Senior Management
Salary: 7.2 LPA
Position Overview
Over the past decade, civil society organisations in India have experienced a significant decline in networking, collaboration, and collective action. As organisations working on development and social justice issues have become increasingly fragmented, the solidarity, relationships, and social capital that once enabled us to work collectively have also weakened. The challenge is not simply how to communicate better, but how to use communication to rebuild relationships, strengthen connections, and revive a spirit of collaboration across civil society.
This is where the role of a Communications and Networking Facilitator becomes critical. We are looking for someone with passion who sees communication not merely as a means of disseminating information, but as a way of building relationships, creating connections, facilitating collaboration, and strengthening collective action. If you are passionate about bringing people and organisations together, building networks, and helping revive the spirit of solidarity within civil society, we would like you to take on this challenge with us.
LAYA Resource Centre is seeking a Communications and Networking Facilitator to strengthen its communications, partnerships, visibility, and engagement with civil society organisations, government institutions, academic and research institutions, businesses, donors, professional networks, and community-based organisations in the Indian context. The position will contribute to advancing LAYA's work on climate justice, sustainable development, climate resilience, and the rights of marginalised communities.

- Work with programme teams to identify stories, outcomes, case studies, and other material that effectively communicate LAYA's work;
- Maintain stakeholder and partner databases and ensure regular follow-up and communication.
