About the Program: Learn Out of the Box
Learn Out of the Box (LOTB) is an initiative focused on making learning more engaging, interactive, and meaningful through innovative pedagogies, activity-based learning, creativity, and the effective integration of technology and learning resources.
Under the Majhi Shala, Majha Swabhimaan programme, Pratham Education Foundation is working with the Tribal Development Department, Government of Maharashtra, towards the holistic development of Ashram Schools across Maharashtra.
The programme focuses on strengthening teaching-learning practices, improving student learning outcomes, building the capacity of teachers and school leaders, and supporting schools with innovative pedagogical approaches and resources.
As part of the programme, capacity-building trainings are conducted for teachers across various districts and Project Offices in Maharashtra.
Position Summary
The External Trainer will play an important role in strengthening the capacity of teachers through engaging, interactive, and practical in-person training sessions. The role offers an opportunity to work with teachers across Maharashtra and contribute towards improving classroom practices and student learning outcomes in Ashram Schools.
We are currently looking for External Trainers in the following areas:
English Trainer: Proficiency in English language is mandatory
Pedagogy Trainer: Proficiency in Marathi language is mandatory
Training Details
• Mode of Training & Training Duration: In-Person with 2 Days per batch
• Location: Various districts and Project Offices across Maharashtra
• Number of Teachers per Batch: Approximately 40–60 Teachers
• Travel Requirement: Extensive travel across Maharashtra may be required
• Remuneration: 1500/Day for Training Days + All expenses for Travel, Food & Hotel Stay during Trainings
• Engagement Type: This is a freelancing-basis vacancy
Trainer Responsibilities
Training Delivery
• Conduct engaging and effective in-person training sessions for teachers.
• Ensure that training sessions are interactive, participatory, and relevant to classroom practices.
• Use demonstrations, activities, discussions, group work, and practical examples to support teacher learning.
• Encourage active participation and create a positive learning environment.
Training Preparation
• Thoroughly understand the training content and objectives before delivering the session.
• Prepare for the training in coordination with the programme team.
• Ensure familiarity with all training materials, presentations, activities, and resources.
• Adapt examples and facilitation approaches according to the needs of the participants.
Adaptability
• Be prepared to adapt to changes in schedules, locations, batch sizes, or training requirements.
• Be flexible in responding to participant needs and on-ground requirements.
• Modify facilitation approaches while ensuring that the key learning objectives of the training are achieved.
Travel Requirements
• Training sessions may be conducted across different districts of Maharashtra.
• Trainers should be comfortable travelling to different locations, including remote areas where required.
• Trainers may be required to travel at short notice based on the training calendar.
Training Reporting
• Submit the required training report and other relevant documentation after the completion of the training.
• Share feedback and observations from the training with the programme team.
• Support the team in identifying areas for improvement in future training sessions.
