About this Assignment
|
|
The Community Mobiliser will be responsible for the community level actions in all villages of working block under the project. The Community Mobiliser will plan and implement the activities under the guidance of the Field Officer in line with the implementation plan of the project.
Remain alert and responsive to any safeguarding risks; acquire and maintain the relevant knowledge and skills necessary to promote strong safeguarding practices; understand and adhere to ChildFund India’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures; and conduct yourself at all times in a manner consistent with ChildFund India’s safeguarding principles and standards.

Required Experience and Education
|
- Education: 12TH Pass / Graduate or equivalent in Development Studies or Social Sciences.
- Work Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in community mobilization preferable in health and nutrition sector.
- Language Proficiency: Good communication skills (both verbal and written) in Hindi and English. Ability to communicate in local language is a must.
- Skills and Abilities: Capacity building and training skills. Be an organized, team player, self-starter and results-oriented individual. Be gender sensitive with strong conviction and skills for the empowerment of excluded and disadvantaged children.
- Job Knowledge: Good communication skills (both verbal and written) Marathi and Hindi. Ability to communicate in local language is necessary. Capacity building and training skills.

Scope of Work
|
- Be responsible for implementing project activities as per project plan for the assigned location / village/block.
- Engage and mobilize community members, leaders, front line workers for better outcome of the project.
- Assist in implementation of nutrition assessments and surveys as required.
- Support in liaison with relevant govt. department officials.
- Undertake regular home visits and nutrition counselling.
- Participate in learning and review meetings.
- Develop documents, case studies and share the same with Field Coordinator.
- Be responsible for reporting & documentation for all activities.
- Participate in learning and review meetings.
- Any other responsibility as assigned by the Line Manager.
