About this Assignment
|
|
Field Officer, Programs will play a key role in supporting the execution of activities and initiatives of the project Power of 5; Digital Anganwadi Hub for Child Nutrition, Maternal Health and School-Based Nutrition Education. Working closely with the project team, the incumbent will contribute operational support to ensure the successful implementation of interventions at the project level.
Remain alert and responsive to any safeguarding risks; acquire and maintain the relevant knowledge and skills necessary to promote strong safeguarding practices; understand and adhere to ChildFund India’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures; and conduct yourself at all times in a manner consistent with ChildFund India’s safeguarding principles and standards.

Required Experience and Education
|
- Education: Bachelor’s in Social Science, Social Work or Public Health and Nutrition discipline. Master's degree is preferred.
- Work Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in Community & school health/nutrition projects.
- Language Proficiency:Strong verbal communication skills in Hindi & English and the local language of placement.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate experience in project planning team Handling and execution and showcase strong experience working with government stakeholders. Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks with team and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community-based organizations.
- Job Knowledge: Strong documentation, monitoring, and reporting skills. Leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency in MS Office and digital learning tools.

Scope of Work
|
- Act as the primary point of contact between the project and government stakeholders (Directorate of Education, ICDS, Health Department, and School Management Committees).
- Lead implementation & Team handling of the digital Anganwadi and Nutrition Education across 4 government schools & 50 Anganwadis in Mumbai & Navi Mumbai Location
- Provide Technical Support to Team for Consultations with different stakeholders of School and Community Level.
- Ensure quality assurance, Baseline / End line data collection, and reporting.
- Coordinate with Directorate of Education, School Management Committees (SMCs), and local stakeholders for permissions and smooth roll out.
- Supervise facilitators and ensure timely delivery of nutrition education sessions.
- Establish and monitor “Nutrition Corners” in schools and guide student Nutrition Ambassadors.
- Develop and implement monitoring tools (checklists, session trackers, feedback forms) for school and community activities.
- Ensure compliance with CSR regulations, child protection norms, and informed consent protocols.
- Maintain project records, utilization certificates, and liaise with finance team for Expense booking and reporting.
- Conduct regular supportive supervision visits to schools and Anganwadi Centers to observe sessions and provide on-site mentoring to facilitators.
- Represent the project in review meetings, dissemination workshops, and thematic events (Poshan Maah, Calibration of National Day, etc.).
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/Annual progress Report and Successes Stories
- Any other responsibility as assigned by the Line Manager.
