Research, Evidence and Ideas for Meaningful Social Change

The Centre for Media Studies (CMS), an independent, not-for-profit think tank established in 1991, works at the intersection of research, policy, communication and social change to inform public policy, programmes and action for equitable and sustainable development.
CMS is strengthening its research team and invites applications from motivated professionals with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and a passion to make a difference through research and evidence-based action.

Positions Open
1. Research Executive | Minimum 3 years of experience
Support research assignments through desk research, literature reviews, qualitative and quantitative research, data analysis, report writing and preparation of knowledge products.

2. Senior Researcher | Research Manager | Minimum 5 years of experience
Design and manage research studies, lead research assignments and teams, analyse findings, prepare reports and policy briefs, and contribute to research proposals and partnerships.

3. Research Lead | Minimum 12 years of experience
Conceptualise and lead research initiatives, develop research proposals, explore new research opportunities and partnerships, and oversee project teams, implementation and quality of research outputs. Contribute to expanding and strengthening CMS's research portfolio.

Desired Profile
• Postgraduate qualification in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Communication, Economics, Management or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, research, writing and communication skills.
• Experience in qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
• Ability to work collaboratively, manage assignments and engage with diverse stakeholders.
• For senior positions, demonstrated experience in research design, proposal development and project/team management.

Research may span social development, governance, public policy, media and communication, environment, sustainability and other emerging areas. Interdisciplinary experience is welcome.

Location and Compensation
Location: South Delhi
Compensation: Commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
