About Internship
ASCI in partnership with Malkagiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) is providing internships opportunities to gain practical, field-based experience in urban development while contributing to projects undertaken by urban local bodies and partner institutions. As part of the internship, selected candidates will get an opportunity to work on Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0, Solid Waste Management, IEC and Swachhata awareness initiatives, along with community and stakeholder engagement activities.

Position: Intern : No. of Positions: 76
Educational Qualification: Post Graduates / Graduates / Diploma in Environmental Science/Solid Waste Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Social Work, Management, Urban Planning, Mass Communication or related fields.
Experience: 0-18 months from the date of completion of the degree. Candidates with academic or practical exposure to SWM, sanitation, urban development or related projects are encouraged to apply. FRESH GRADUATES CAN ALSO APPLY.
Duration : 8 months
Stipend : Selected candidates will be paid a stipend of Rs.14,000/- per month during the internship duration subject to ASCI norms.
* Key Responsibilities
Selected interns will support ASCI's & MMC's urban initiatives and will be expected to:

* Support implementation of projects under SBM (U) 2.0, IEC and Swachhata awareness campaigns.
* Assist in community, school and stakeholder engagement activities.
* Support training programmes and capacity-building workshops.
* Undertake field visits, surveys and data collection.
* Assist in preparation of IEC materials, presentations, reports and project documentation.
* Document project activities through photographs, videos and social media content.
* Work closely with the Sanitation Section on sanitation improvement and related field activities.
* Support other project-related activities assigned by the project team.
* Developing new concepts for Community Engagement, IEC & BCC programs.
* Design collaterals to disseminate Swachhta messages
