MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child (MAMTA HIMC) is an Indian not for profit, non-government organization working in the areas of public health. The organization has been serving communities especially children, young people and women across the country for over 32 years. The thematic areas of our work are aligned to the national programmes in the areas of Reproductive Maternal New-born Child Health and Nutrition, Young People’s Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Communicable Diseases and Non-Communicable Diseases. MAMTA HIMC works to enhance equitable access to health, through community awareness and empowerment, trainings and capacity strengthening and inter-sectoral coordination for effective implementation. Our work aims to enhance the health and well-being of socially and economically marginalized population with focus on children, women, adolescents and persons with disability. Gender-equity is the cross- cutting issue across our programmes.

Job Purpose
The job purpose of the Project Assistant is to provide general accounts work and administration support in the project team of head office.

Qualifications/Requirement

• Bachelor Degree
• Expertise in MS excel and MS office
• Experience in handling the finance and admin work with the NGO sector

Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for general administration, local procurement and day to day admin support to the team
• Coordinate timely collection of bill and vouchers from the field offices
• Coordinate with the field team and provide financial and operational information/ reporting/ other arrangements
• Support training of project staff on project procedures and skilling them in the areas of finance and administration
• Any other duties assigned by the team
• Preference to local candidates

Competencies

• Knowledge on the general Financial and Administrative policies and procedures
• Well versed with the MS Office packages, accounting packages and related software packages
• Multi-tasking

Salary
Salary shall range between INR 30,000 to 35,000 CTC, per month and will also be corresponding with the previous drawn salary, qualification and experience.

Physical Requirements
The job may require travelling in the field for monitoring/ reporting/ training purposes.
