PART I – ABOUT PLAN INTERNATIONAL (INDIA CHAPTER)
Plan International (India Chapter), commonly referred to as Plan India, is an Indian registered not-for-profit organization striving to advance the welfare and development of children and equality for girls and women. Through child-centred community development approaches, Plan India seeks to create lasting impact in the lives of vulnerable children, their families and communities.
Since 1996, Plan India has improved the lives of millions of children and young people by enabling access to quality education, child protection, healthcare services, healthy environments, livelihood opportunities and participation in community development.
PART II – PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Comprehensive School Improvement Program (CSIP), Bengaluru aims to strengthen educational and recreational infrastructure in Government Schools.
Under this project, Plan International (India Chapter) intends to establish Multi-Sport Courts comprising Basketball, Volleyball and Badminton facilities in the following schools:
- Government Girls High School (GGHS), Ramanagara
- Karnataka Public School (KPS), Padarahalli
- Karnataka Public School (KPS), Jalamangala
The intervention includes development of sports courts, ground preparation, civil works, installation of sports flooring, court markings, basketball systems, volleyball and badminton systems, interlocking works and associated infrastructure as detailed in the attached BOQs.
PART III – OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT
The selected bidder shall:
- Develop and operationalize Multi-Sport Courts in the identified schools.
- Promote participation of children, especially girls, in sports activities.
- Improve access to safe, inclusive and child-friendly sports infrastructure.
- Complete all civil works, sports flooring and equipment installation.
- Hand over fully functional sports facilities within the stipulated timeline.
