About the Role
The Gender Coordinator will ensure gender integration across all water management, irrigation, sanitation, and agriculture-based livelihood interventions. The role will focus on strengthening women’s leadership, access to water resources, and economic empowerment in tribal communities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Gender Mainstreaming
Integrate gender-sensitive approaches in water, sanitation, and agriculture programs.
Conduct gender analysis and develop gender action plans.
Ensure women’s participation in water user groups and village committees.
2. Women Empowerment & Leadership
Facilitate formation and strengthening of Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
Promote women-led agriculture and micro-enterprises.
Build leadership capacity of tribal women in water governance.
3. Training & Awareness
Conduct gender sensitization workshops for staff and community leaders.
Promote awareness on women’s rights, sanitation, health, and decision-making.
Address issues related to workload reduction through improved water access.
4. Monitoring & Documentation
Develop gender indicators and monitoring tools.
Document case studies of women beneficiaries.
Prepare gender-focused reports for donors and management.
5. Safeguarding & Inclusion
Ensure safe participation of women in project activities.
Promote inclusion of marginalized women (widows, single women, disabled).
Qualifications & Experience
Master’s degree in Gender Studies / Social Work / Rural Development / Sociology or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in gender and community development programs.
Experience working with tribal communities preferred.
Strong facilitation, communication, and training skills.
Salary -30000.00 per month
