ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND
MAMTA-Health Institute for Mother and Child, New Delhi; a Pan-India NGO, works on issues of health and development, with a focus on Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition, Adolescent/Young People’s Sexual Reproductive Health (YSRH), HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Non-Communicable Diseases since 1990. MAMTA HIMC is implementing a project with a focus on improved Mother and Child Health outcomes amongst the rural population in Rajasthan. Currently, MAMTA-HIMC is looking to hire Ambulance vehicle for Mobile Health Van (MHV) for daily visit in the villages of Agucha – Bhilwara, Chanderiya-Chittorgarh, Zawar-Udaipur, Dariba-Rajsamand (Rajasthan). The vehicles will be required for the visit and Driver; Fuel and Maintenance would be provided by the organization.
Description about vehicle.
- Model -Ambulance vehicle required from 2022 or after years making with valid insurance, PUC, Fitness certificate and RC.
- Size: Ambulances should not be longer than 550 cm, wider than 244 cm, or higher than 279 cm. The front overhang should not be more than 40% of the wheelbase, and the rear overhang should not be more than 60%.
- Engine: Ambulances should have an engine capacity of 2000–3000 cc, a maximum power of 75–100 HP, and a torque of more than 200 nm.
- Fuel tank: The fuel tank should be able to cover at least 300 km without refuelling.
- Payload: The payload capacity should be at least 1100 kg.
- Patient compartment: The patient compartment should be at least 2755 mm long, 1650 mm wide, and 1800 mm high. It should be air-conditioned and have seating for at least one patient and seven others.
- Equipment: Ambulance should have a rotating beacon light on the roof, a main roll-in stretcher, a folding portable sub stretcher, a siren, a wash basin, and a fire extinguisher. They should also have a waste bin for sharp needles, disposable bags for vomiting, and a thermal absorbent blanket.
- Old and worn-out tyres will not be considered.Tyre provided in the vehicle need to run approx. 25000 kms from the date of vehicle take over.

VENDORS REQUIREMENTS
- Keeping in mind timely delivery and cost effectiveness, the local vendor would be given preference.
- In the vehicle vendor selection process, 80% weightage will be given to quality standards and 20% to financial criteria.
