About the Organisation
Action India is a women-led organisation working towards gender justice, social equity, and community empowerment. Its programs focus on issues such as gender-based violence, sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), women’s leadership, livelihoods, and rights-based advocacy across multiple states in India.

Role Overview
The Program Manager will support the design, implementation, monitoring, and documentation of community-based programs. The role requires close coordination with field teams, stakeholders, and donors, while ensuring that programs are executed effectively and aligned with organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities
• Support execution of ongoing programs such as Mahila Panchayats, SRHR and youth initiatives, women in agriculture, domestic workers’ rights.
• Coordinate with field teams across multiple states to ensure timely and effective implementation.
• Facilitate workshops, trainings, and stakeholder meetings at community and institutional levels.
• Assist in developing project proposals, concept notes, and program design documents.
• Conduct regular field visits to assess program quality, impact, and challenges.
• Collect and analyse data to support program reviews and improvements.
• Document learnings, case studies, and success stories.
• Prepare high-quality programmatic and donor reports.
• Maintain accurate documentation of activities, outputs, and outcomes.
• Develop communication materials including reports, brochures, and IEC content.
• Support design and delivery of training sessions on issues such as gender-based violence, legal rights, SRHR, and relevant laws (e.g., PWDV Act, POSH, POCSO).
• Liaise with donors, partners, and government stakeholders.
• Support donor communications and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Facilitate exposure visits, consultations, and collaborative meetings.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Development Studies, or related field.
• Atleast 2 years of experience in program implementation, preferably in gender and rights-based work.
• Strong understanding of issues such as GBV, SRHR, livelihoods, and community mobilisation.
