PCVC is looking for a proactive and insight-driven Social Media & Digital Engagement Manager to take ownership of how its communication and outreach work is amplified across digital platforms. The role focuses on turning campaign content created by the design and content teams into high-impact social media engagement through trend monitoring, platform optimisation, analytics and community management.

Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Social Sciences or any relevant field. Candidates from other disciplines with strong, demonstrable experience in social media or digital communications are also encouraged to apply.

Mandatory Requirements
• 3–4 years of professional experience in social media management or digital communications.
• Hands-on experience managing organisational or brand social media accounts.
• Strong working knowledge of major platforms – Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter) and YouTube.
• Proven experience using social media and digital marketing tools such as:
– Meta Business Suite / Ads Manager
– Hootsuite / Buffer / Sprout Social (or similar scheduling tools)
– Google Analytics (GA4)
– Platform analytics and reporting dashboards
• Good understanding of social media content formats, platform-specific requirements and publishing best practices.
• Strong capability to analyse performance metrics and convert insights into content and campaign improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Tamil and English.
• Ability to handle public communication related to gender-based violence, women’s rights and queer communities with sensitivity and responsibility.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, campaign-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Drive PCVC’s day-to-day social media presence across all platforms and ensure effective distribution of campaign, programme and advocacy content.
• Translate communication and outreach initiatives into platform-specific social media execution plans.
• Identify and adopt emerging formats, trends and platform updates relevant to social impact communication.
• Monitor ongoing digital campaigns, sector conversations and public discourse related to PCVC’s focus areas and share insights with the communication team.
• Manage social media publishing calendars in coordination with designers and content creatives.
• Handle community management by responding to comments, messages and public queries in a timely and sensitive manner.
• Support live and on-ground event coverage through digital platforms.
• Track performance of posts, campaigns and engagement activities using analytics tools.
• Prepare and present structured monthly performance and insight reports covering reach, engagement, audience growth and content effectiveness.
• Continuously recommend optimisation strategies for improving visibility, engagement and digital reach.
• Work closely with the Head – Brand Strategy & Communications to align social media activity with overall communication objectives.
