SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL JOB:
Placement Officer will be responsible for driving successful student/youth placement outcomes by building strong industry linkages, managing employer relations, and ensuring career opportunities align with candidates’ skills and aspirations. This role requires strong networking, communication, and relationship-building skills to act as a bridge between organizations, training institutes, and students.
KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Industry & Employer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with employers, HR leaders, & industry partners for recruitment and placement opportunities.
• Placement Coordination: Organize placement drives, interviews, campus recruitment, and job fairs.
• Student Readiness: Guide and prepare students in resume building, interview preparation, and soft skills to enhance employability.
• Database & Reporting: Maintain placement records, employer databases, and provide regular placement status reports.
• Collaboration: Work closely with training teams, faculty, and career counselors to align training with industry needs.
• Target Achievement: Meet and exceed placement targets as set by the organization.
• Exposure Visits: Plan and manage industry exposure visits, internships, and corporate interactions for students.
• Market Research: Stay updated with industry trends, hiring practices, and future skills in demand.
Preferred Experience:
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant Placement Officer role.
