Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Executive Director to lead Rehwa Society as a social enterprise rooted in the legacy of Maheshwar’s handloom tradition. The role calls for a visionary leader who can serve as a role model and catalyst for the weaving community, inspiring and influencing the next generation of Maheshwar’s weavers while strengthening the organization’s social impact. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to social enterprise management, exceptional organizational skills to ensure smooth and effective operations, and a deep dedication to preserving and advancing the handloom traditions of Maheshwar.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Organisational Management
Lead overall team management and workflow coordination, including staff allocation, supervision, and smooth day-to-day functioning.
Manage human resources, including recruitment, staff development, reviews, performance appraisals, and conflict resolution.
Monitor staff attendance, office operations, and petty cash management for project implementation.
Ensure effective MIS systems, stock tracking, and smooth dispatch across sales channels such as depots, website orders, and exhibitions.
2. Production & Supply Chain Management
Oversee end-to-end production processes, including raw material procurement, dyeing, and weaving operations.
Ensure timely sourcing of raw materials for the Production and Dyeing Units, maintaining quality standards and cost efficiency.
Supervise Dye Unit operations, including ETP functioning, sludge disposal, register maintenance, and compliance with Pollution Control Board requirements.
Work closely with the Planning Officer to monitor production schedules, resolve weaver-related challenges, and ensure timely completion of collections.
Develop backup production strategies to ensure continuous work for artisans and adequate stock availability.
3. Marketing, Sales & Exhibition Management
Lead the marketing and exhibition portfolio for Rehwa, including preparing exhibition calendars, identifying venues, coordinating publicity, managing display, and overseeing exhibition stock planning and post-event reporting.
Guide teams managing the Maheshwar retail shops, with attention to display standards, billing systems, and cash management.
Monitor wholesale orders and client engagements, ensuring quality and timely fulfillment.
Manage social media coordination and connect the marketing team with potential leads and opportunities.
4. Product Development, Digital & Retail Management
Oversee product presentation, inventory management, and sales channels, including shops, exhibitions, and the website.
Ensure regular updating of online inventory and order management on the website and other digital platforms to meet sales targets.
Support textile tours and client visits, presenting collections, sharing the organization’s impact, and exploring product development opportunities.
Facilitate design development and new collections, including coordinating photoshoots, digital lookbooks, and documentation for each collection.
5. Governance, Partnerships & Institutional Representation
Serve as the official point of contact for dignitaries, institutional partners, and visiting groups.
Maintain strong working relationships with Ahilya Fort, Ahilya School, and other stakeholders.
Ensure that production, stock, and sales records are maintained in line with organizational systems and government compliance norms.
Foster a participatory environment with artisans, encouraging feedback and keeping them informed about organizational developments.
Provide regular updates to the Board, including monthly operational and progress reports.

Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Textile Design, Rural Management, or a related field.
Experience & Skills: 5 years+ of experience in rural management, preferably within the handloom sector.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Passionate about contributing to social change in rural communities.
Proficient in both English and Hindi, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
