About us
Lighthouse Communities Foundation works in the area of skilling and livelihoods for underserved youth. This is a pioneering program with a strong PPP model, an agency-led approach to livelihoods, and a vision of socio-economic transformation. The Lighthouses are run through a public-private partnership that empowers the Government, Corporations, NGOs, and Citizens to work together towards changing lives. The provision of location and capital expenditure for the Lighthouse centers is taken care of by the Government. Corporates contribute through CSR funds to provide operational expenses. NGOs come on board to provide various skilling courses to the youth. With penetration in more than 400 of the 500-odd slum communities of Pune, the program has now expanded to other cities viz. PCMC, Dombivali, Aurangabad and also States viz. Delhi, Odisha, and Hyderabad.

About the Role:
The Centre Head is responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation and impact of the Lighthouse Program at the center level. This includes program execution, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring youth are guided towards sustainable livelihoods.
The role requires a dynamic leader who is passionate about working with underserved youth, capable of managing operations, building community relationships, and driving measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Implementation & Impact
- Lead the Lighthouse center independently to drive youth enrollment and engagement
- Enable at least 20% of youth from nearby communities to access jobs or self-employment
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Implement the foundation program to build youth agency and decision-making ability.
- Ensure smooth progression of youth across all program stages—from outreach to alumni
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5–8 members. Drive performance, accountability, and capacity building.
- Ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes across all program stages
- Minimize attrition and foster a strong team culture
Community Outreach & Engagement
- Build meaningful relationships within communities to increase youth participation
- Strengthen local networks for mobilization and program visibility
- Lead outreach strategies to ensure consistent enrollment
Placement & Livelihoods
- Identify opportunities within the local economy for youth placements. Collaborate with Placement Managers and industry partners
- Organize industry expert sessions and exposure opportunities.Support youth in achieving sustainable livelihood outcomes
Operations & Administration
- Oversee day-to-day center operations, infrastructure, and asset management
- Ensure efficient planning, scheduling, and execution of activities.
Data Management & Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely data updates on Excel and internal platforms. Analyze data to identify trends and improve program outcomes.
- Prepare qualitative and quantitative reports for stakeholders.Drive adoption of digital platforms (e.g., Youth Connect Portal)
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with government stakeholders (Corporators, Ward Officers, local authorities). Build partnerships with NGOs, corporates, and local establishments
- Facilitate volunteering, placements, and donor visits. Lead brand-building initiatives and center-level events.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s in Social Work (MSW) or Postgraduate in any relevant field preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in program implementation (skilling/livelihoods preferred). Experience in managing teams and training/skilling centers.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent project and program management abilities
- Data-driven thinking and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and local language
- Ability to engage with government and corporate stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace.
- Self-driven with strong time management and multitasking skills
