Role Purpose :
The Fundraising & Partnerships Manager will lead resource mobilization and strategic partnerships to ensure sustainable growth of Safe Society’s programs.
This role goes beyond traditional fundraising — it focuses on building long-term institutional partnerships, CSR engagement, and donor ecosystems, which is a core expectation in modern nonprofit fundraising roles .
Key Responsibilities :
1. Fundraising Strategy & Pipeline Development :
- Design and execute annual and multi-year fundraising strategy
- Build and manage a robust fundraising pipeline (CSR, foundations, HNIs, institutional donors)
- Identify new funding opportunities through research and market scanning
- Set and achieve quarterly and annual fundraising targets
- Fundraising managers are expected to plan and execute strategies to meet revenue targets and ensure sustainability
2. Corporate Partnerships & CSR Engagement
- Identify, approach, and onboard CSR partners and corporate donors
- Build customized partnership proposals aligned with company CSR priorities
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle:
- Prospecting
- Pitching
- Conversion
- Relationship management
- Drive employee engagement programs with corporate partners
- Modern fundraising roles emphasize developing corporate partnerships and managing donor relationships continuously
3. Grants, Proposals & Institutional Fundraising
- Lead proposal development, concept notes, and grant applications
- Identify opportunities from:
- Foundations
- Trusts
- Bilateral/multilateral agencies
- Ensure high-quality donor reporting, compliance, and documentation
- Writing proposals and securing grants is a core fundraising responsibility across NGOs
4. Donor Management & Stewardship
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with:
- Individual donors
- HNIs
- Institutional funders
- Develop donor engagement strategies (updates, reports, storytelling)
- Maintain CRM/database of donors and prospects
5. Campaigns, Communication & Brand Positioning
- Collaborate with communication team to:
- Design fundraising campaigns
- Build compelling impact stories
- Leverage digital platforms for fundraising (LinkedIn, email campaigns, crowdfunding)
- Represent Safe Society at events, forums, and networking platforms
- Fundraising roles increasingly integrate marketing, storytelling, and public engagement
6. Internal Coordination & Strategic Alignment :
- Work closely with program teams to align funding with project needs
- Translate field impact into fundable narratives and proposals
- Support leadership in expansion and strategic partnerships
Key Deliverables / KPIs :
- Annual fundraising target achievement
- Number of new CSR/institutional partnerships onboarded
- Proposal success rate
- Donor retention and engagement rate
- Size and quality of fundraising pipeline
Required Skills & Competencies :
- Strong partnership-building and networking skills
- Excellent proposal writing and storytelling ability
- Understanding of CSR ecosystem and development sector funding
- Strategic thinking with execution capability
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
The role demands relationship-building, communication, and strategic planning skills to align donor interests with organizational goals
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Social Work, Development Studies, Business, Communications, or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in:
- Fundraising
- CSR partnerships
- Business development (development sector preferred)
- Proven track record of raising funds / closing partnerships
