Job Summary
The Rescue Team Member will play a critical role in identifying, planning, and executing rescue operations for children engaged in child labour and hazardous situations. The role involves close coordination with law enforcement agencies, providing immediate support to rescued children, and ensuring proper legal follow-up to support prosecution and rehabilitation efforts.

Key Responsibilities
1. Planning & Operations

Plan and execute outreach strategies for identifying child labour and trafficking cases.
Conduct reconnaissance (recce) to identify high-risk areas and locations where children may be engaged in labour or hazardous conditions.
Develop actionable plans for rescue operations in coordination with internal teams and stakeholders.

2. Coordination with Authorities

Liaise and coordinate with local police stations and relevant authorities for planning and conducting rescue raids.

Assist in organizing and preparing for joint rescue operations with law enforcement agencies.

3. Rescue Execution

Actively participate in raid and rescue operations alongside police teams.

Ensure safe and child-sensitive handling of rescued children during operations.

4. Child Support & Rehabilitation

Provide immediate counselling and emotional support to rescued children.

Ensure children are safely transitioned to appropriate care facilities or homes.

Conduct follow-up visits with rescued children and their families to monitor well-being and prevent re-trafficking.

5. Legal & Documentation Support

Maintain accurate documentation of rescue operations and cases.

Assist in preparing case files and ensuring proper evidence collection.

Appear as an independent witness during legal proceedings and trials, as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field (preferred).

Prior experience in child protection, social work, or field operations is an advantage.

Strong understanding of child rights, child labour laws, and trafficking issues.

Ability to work in high-pressure and sensitive situations.

Good coordination and communication skills, especially with law enforcement agencies.

Willingness to travel extensively and work irregular hours, including during rescue operations.
