Job Summary
The MIS Officer will be responsible for managing field-level data systems, ensuring timely collation and availability of data for Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) functions. The role will support data-driven decision-making by maintaining standardized formats, assisting in reporting processes, and documenting qualitative insights such as case studies. The position will also provide administrative and logistical support for program activities, including trainings and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Management at the District level
- Supervise the field team for data collection
- Compile and review data received from field teams at block levels
- Maintain the data collection formats and databases for the district as required by the MEL team
- Keep the data organized, accessible, and regularly updated for reporting and analysis
2. Supporting preparation of reports
- Validate data of the project intervention, and do the basic quality checks for reporting.
- Assist district coordinator in preparing monthly, quarterly, and other periodic reports by providing cleaned and validated data.
- Ensure timely submission of data and reports as per defined timelines.
- Travel to the field to support the field teams in reporting as required
3. Coordinating with State Team
- Work closely with the state team to align data collection processes with MEL team requirements.
4. Administrative and Logistical Support
- Provide back-end support for organizing trainings, workshops and meetings.
- Assist in maintaining records, participant data and documentation for program activities.
5. Documenting Case Studies
- Collect and document case studies, success stories and field-level insights in coordination with the district coordinator.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field (Social Sciences, Statistics, IT, or related)
- Atleast 3 years of experience in MIS, data management or program support roles
- Previous experience in development sector programs at the district level
