Lokmitra, a leading organization working since 1998 with the mission to ensure quality and equitable foundational education for underprivileged children in Uttar Pradesh, is seeking a Project Accountant for its 4-year project "School Development for Holistic Learning Improvement in Children," supported by Tata Trusts. Position Details
Compensation (CTC): ?30,000 - ?40,000 per month. (Negotiable)
Project Duration: 4 years
Work Location: Raebareli and Banda Field Offices, Uttar Pradesh
Position Objective: To safeguard the organization's resources as a 'trustee' and ensure that every rupee is used with transparency and accountability for the educational development of children.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial and Accounting Management
Daily Accounting: Daily entry of all financial transactions using Tally Prime.
Compliance: Adherence to TDS and Income Tax Act.
Budgeting & Reporting: Preparing 'Budget vs. Actual Expenditure' analysis and MIS reports monthly.
Audit Assistance: Leading the annual statutory audit and internal audit processes.
2. Human Resource Management
Keeping all employee personal documents, contracts, and the filing system up-to-date.
Attendance and Leave: Verification of staff attendance, leave records, and field visits.
Ensuring timely calculation and payment of salaries and other employee benefits (such as EPF contributions).
3. Mandatory Qualifications and Skills
Education: Graduate in Commerce (B.Com) or higher education.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in 'Fund-Based Accounting' in the NGO sector.
Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of Tally Prime.
Knowledge: Understanding of 'Fund-Based Accounting' in the NGO sector.
Attitude: Logical thinking, financial discipline, proactive work style, and commitment to social change.
