Across rural India, many people remain unaware of their legal rights and entitlements. Although constitutional protections exist, access to justice continues to be uneven, particularly for women, marginalized communities, displaced populations, and rural citizens who often struggle to navigate legal systems and welfare structures.
For the last four decades, Multiple Action Research Group (MARG) has worked to bridge this gap through trainings on gender justice, Child rights, rights of indigents, policy-oriented research, and community legal empowerment initiatives. Building on this experience, the Dr. Vasudha Dhagamwar Memorial Fellowship aims to support and mentor young grassroots leaders who are motivated to address socio-legal challenges within their communities.
The Fellowship seeks individuals with commitment, courage, and capability, people who are self-motivated, passionate about justice, and driven to create meaningful impact.
Eligibility
* Young community leaders aged 20–35 years
* From rural areas (preferably Gorakhpur – Uttar Pradesh, West Champaran/Begusarai – Bihar, Karnal – Haryana)
* Able to dedicate 12 months to the fellowship
