Role Overview
The Senior Manager – Communications will play a central role in shaping and executing LBF’s communication across its verticals, translating strategy into cohesive, high-quality storytelling and visual expression.
This is a creative and execution-led role with strategic sensitivity, responsible for ensuring that all communication reflects the depth, integrity, and aesthetic of LBF’s work across platforms.
The role requires a strong understanding of design, narrative, and cultural context, and the ability to manage communication across digital, print, and institutional formats with consistency and clarity.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Communication Planning & Implementation
• Translate the overarching communication strategy into clear execution plans across verticals
• Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and narrative across all outputs
• Work closely with program teams to align communication with on-ground work and impact
• Support the development of campaign calendars and thematic storytelling frameworks

2. Content & Narrative Development
• Lead the creation and curation of high-quality written and visual content across Social media website and digital platforms Publications, reports, and presentations
• Shape and refine stories emerging from artisans, communities, and programs
• Maintain a strong editorial voice aligned with LBF’s ethos
• Introduce thoughtful and relevant content formats (long-form, visual essays, documentation)

3. Creative Coordination & Visual Execution
• Translate creative direction into well-executed visual outputs
• Work with photographers, designers, and videographers to ensure cohesive visual storytelling
• Support and coordinate photoshoots, documentation, and campaign visuals
• Ensure consistency in design language, layouts, and visual identity across platforms

4. Digital & Platform Management
• Oversee execution of communication across Social media platforms
Website content and updates
• Ensure a cohesive and elevated digital presence aligned with brand identity
• Maintain consistency in visual grids, tone, and platform experience
• Coordinate with internal and external teams for timely updates and publishing

5. Campaigns & Public-Facing Communication
• Support the execution of key campaigns, launches, and events
• Develop communication materials for exhibitions, pop-ups, and public engagements
• Contribute to building LBF’s external visibility through thoughtful storytelling
• Assist in media and outreach efforts as required

6. Documentation & Knowledge Systems
• Maintain a comprehensive database of communication materials, reports, visuals, and institutional knowledge across entities.
• Lead the development of structured documentation of LBF’s work

7. Monitoring & Performance Tracking
• Track key communication metrics across platforms:
• Engagement and audience growth
• Content performance
• Campaign effectiveness
• Prepare periodic reports with insights to improve communication quality and reach

Language Fluency
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
• Working knowledge of Hindi
Experience & Qualifications
• 10 -12 years of experience in communications, branding, or content-led roles
• Experience working with: Design-led organisations, craft, or cultural institutions. Sustainability, social impact, or community-based initiatives
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, editorial processes, and digital platforms
• Experience working across print, digital, and experiential formats
Skills and Competencies
• Strong storytelling and writing ability with attention to tone and nuance
• Refined visual and aesthetic sensibility
• Ability to translate strategy into clear, high-quality execution
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Ability to work across teams and manage multiple workstreams
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Working Hours & Days
• 5 days a week (Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM).
• As per the organisations work requirement, candidate might have to work on some Saturday and Sundays.
