About Calcutta Foundation:
Calcutta Foundation, through its flagship program Apni Kutir, aims to support women at every stage of their journey towards financial independence through three core verticals: skilling & literacy, individual development, and community building. With 15 centres currently operating across West Bengal, Rajasthan and Bihar, the Foundation provides skill development training such as tailoring, beauty and wellness, digital literacy, and life skills to young girls and women. Our holistic, 360-degree approach ensures women receive not just skills but also guidance, confidence, and emotional support to build sustainable livelihoods.

Role Summary:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and strengthening the day-to-day
operations of the Apni Kutir program across all centres. The role focuses on ensuring smooth
program execution, efficient resource management, strong MIS systems, and consistent quality
standards across locations. The manager will work closely with program, field, and leadership
teams to maintain operational excellence, monitor performance, and ensure that all centres
function effectively and in alignment with the Foundation’s goals.

Responsibilities:
1. Program Operations Management
? Oversee the day-to-day functioning of Apni Kutir centres across multiple locations.
? Ensure smooth execution of training programs and activities in alignment with
organisational plans.
? Monitor operational processes and identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
? Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across centres.

2. Team Coordination & Support
? Coordinate with centre heads, trainers, and field staff to ensure seamless program delivery.
? Provide operational guidance and support to on-ground teams.
? Facilitate regular check-ins and reviews with centre teams.
? Address operational challenges and resolve issues in a timely manner.

3. Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance
? Manage and strengthen MIS systems for accurate data collection and reporting across
centres.
? Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and program milestones across centres.
? Ensure timely submission of operational reports and data from all locations.
? Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities.
? Ensure compliance with organisational policies and guidelines.

4. Resource & Logistics Management
? Oversee allocation and utilisation of resources, including materials and equipment.
? Manage logistics for training programs, workshops, and events.
? Ensure infrastructure and operational requirements at centres are met.

5. Process Improvement & Strategy Support
? Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements.
? Support leadership in planning and scaling program operations.
? Contribute to building efficient systems for long-term program sustainability.

Required Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in Management, Development Studies, Social Work, or a related field.
2. Candidates with relevant experience in operations or program management will also be
considered.

Experience:
1. 4–6 years of professional experience in operations, program management, or a similar role.
2. Experience working in NGOs, the development sector, or social impact organisations is
preferred.
3. Experience in MIS, reporting systems, and quality assurance processes is an added
advantage.
4. Demonstrated experience in managing multi-location programs or field operations.
5. Experience in team coordination and operational planning.
