About Calcutta Foundation:
Calcutta Foundation, through its flagship program Apni Kutir, aims to support women at every stage of their journey towards financial independence through three core verticals: skilling & literacy, individual development, and community building. With 15 centres currently operating across West Bengal, Rajasthan and Bihar, the Foundation provides skill development training such as tailoring, beauty and wellness, digital literacy, and life skills to young girls and women. Role Summary:
The Content & Design Lead (mid-management, 1–3 years of experience) will be responsible for
developing and maintaining high-quality visual and written content across the organisation. The
role focuses on designing templates for reports and presentations, creating engaging social media creatives, and supporting documentation through visually compelling layouts and infographics. The lead will also handle video editing for events and campaigns while ensuring all outputs align with the Foundation’s branding and communication guidelines.

Responsibilities:
1. Content Design & Development
? Design and develop templates for reports, presentations, and other communication
materials.
? Create visually engaging social media creatives aligned with organisational goals.
? Develop infographics and visual layouts to support program documentation and reporting.
? Ensure consistency in branding, design standards, and communication guidelines across all
materials.

2. Digital & Social Media Support
? Design campaign creatives, posts, and promotional materials.
? Support content planning by translating ideas into visually appealing formats.

3. Documentation & Visual Storytelling
? Support report documentation through structured layouts and visual enhancements.
? Work closely with program teams to translate data and impact stories into compelling
visual formats.
? Assist in designing newsletters, presentations, and donor-facing documents.

4. Video Editing & Multimedia
? Edit videos for events, campaigns, and digital platforms.
? Support basic motion graphics and multimedia content creation.
? Ensure timely delivery of high-quality audio-visual content.

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Design, Mass Communication, Multimedia, Visual Arts, or a related
field.
2. Candidates with relevant certifications and strong portfolios will also be considered.

Experience:
1. 1–3 years of professional experience in content design, graphic design, or a similar role.
2. Experience in creating social media creatives, reports, and presentation materials.
3. Familiarity with video editing and multimedia tools.
4. Experience working in NGOs, the development sector, or social impact organisations is
preferred but not mandatory.

Key Skills:
1. Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or
similar platforms.
2. Basic video editing skills (Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent tools).
3. Strong understanding of branding, layout design, and visual storytelling.
4. Ability to create infographics and data visualisations.
5. Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Bengali, and Hindi.
