Educator – Early Childhood and Inclusion

ASTHA is a community-based organisation in Delhi, working with children and persons with disabilities and their families for the last 33 years.

We are looking for an educator who is keen to build leadership and operational skills while working in a community-based early childhood setting in urban settlements. The role focuses on children in the 0–6 age group, including children with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Support early childhood care and development activities at the centre
- Work directly with children (0–6 years) and their families in community settings
- Facilitate inclusive learning and participation for children with disabilities
- Manage the centre space and daily routines
- Maintain basic documentation and child progress records

Additional Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day operations of the centre
- Coordinate with a small team and support their work
- Engage with families and community members regularly
- Contribute to planning and smooth functioning of the programme

Qualifications & Experience
- Background in education / early childhood care / related field
- 2–3 years of relevant experience (community or school-based) preferred
- Interest in ECCD and inclusion
- Willingness to work in urban community settings
- Strong sense of ownership and consistency in work
- Fluency in Hindi (English working knowledge preferred)
- Basic computer skills

Location – Southeast Delhi (community-based urban centre)
