Position Overview
Saksham Trust is seeking dedicated and motivated Assistive Technology (AT) Trainers to join our growing team across multiple locations in India. This role is central to our mission of empowering persons with visual impairment (PVIs) through technology-enabled education and capacity building.
The AT Trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality assistive technology training-both in-person and remote-to support PVIs in achieving digital independence, access to education, employment, and social inclusion.

About Saksham
Saksham Trust is a nationally recognized, award-winning NGO working towards the empowerment of persons with visual impairment. With established centres in Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram, and Telangana, Saksham delivers education, assistive technology training, advocacy, and rehabilitation services across India.
We also operate SakshamLife (Saktek Foundation), a not-for-profit initiative focused on developing and promoting affordable assistive technology solutions that enhance the quality of life for persons with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct individual and group training sessions on assistive technologies for persons with blindness and low vision at assigned locations.
• Design and deliver customized training modules and manuals in accessible formats; adapt content into local/regional languages wherever required.
• Provide hands-on training in:
a. Computer accessibility: Screen readers such as NVDA and JAWS


b. Mobile accessibility: TalkBack, accessible apps, and communication tools
c. Basic hardware handling and troubleshooting
d. MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and effective use of internet tools
• Maintain training records, case studies, and monthly progress reports.
• Offer ongoing technical support and guidance on assistive technology usage, software settings, and device management.
• Organize and facilitate awareness, sensitization, and inclusion workshops in mainstream schools, colleges, workplaces, and community settings.
• Support inventory management of assistive devices and coordinate with the Saksham Head Office for logistics and reporting.

Experience and Qualifications
• Graduate in any discipline from a recognized institution.
• Diploma/Certificate in Computer Applications or Assistive Technology preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in training persons with visual impairment (preferred).
• Fluency in English is required.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Persons with blindness or low vision are strongly encouraged to apply.
