About the Organization

Himalayan Environment Lively Hood Promotion Society (HELP) came into existence to enhance the socio-economic status of the underprivileged people. Hailing from a rural family, the founder was no stranger to hardships faced by the underprivileged. Having overcome economic and social challenges, due to the backing and economic blessings from certain elder society leaders, the founder set out to do his best to make a positive difference in the lives of fellow underprivileged.
Working with a team of committed people, HELP’s aim has been to secure integrated development through people’s participation. The key areas identified for interventions include Sustainable Livelihood, Women Empowerment, Environment, Trainings & Education, Organic Farming, Agriculture, Horticulture, Watershed Development, Health and hygiene etc. Our efforts have developed lasting association with government, nongovernment and corporate organizations as also with the communities and groups with whom we have worked.
We have come a long way following a small beginning in year 1996, and have implemented a wide variety of projects related to quality education, watershed development, wasteland development, tribal development, low cost sanitation, alternate energy sources, self-help groups, farmer interest groups, farmer producer organization, vocational training to youth, and women empowerment in all the Districts of Uttarakhand state in India. While implementing different developmental projects, our thrust has always been on working through people’s participation. At HELP, we have always believed in developing the capacities and capabilities of the communities, and have always strived to channel their hidden energies for the betterment of society at large. Our efforts have always been directed towards creating an environment that is conducive of enhancing opportunities to local people to think and act positively. We have always endeavoured to develop skills and competencies of the local communities with a view to enabling them to operate and maintain the assets created through the implementation of the projects on sustainable basis.
This philosophy of ours has led us to adopt a holistic and participatory approach to rural development. We believe in inclusive approach, covering all the sections of the society, particularly the underprivileged, in a village. We work with the existing village level flora (and creating new ones wherever necessary) through Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approaches, principles and techniques.

Core Job Responsibilities of HR/Admin Manager
1. Recruitment & Staffing
• Plan manpower requirements with department heads
• Manage end-to-end recruitment (job posting, screening, interviews, selection)
• Coordinate onboarding and induction of new employees
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
• Address employee grievances and resolve conflicts
• Maintain a positive work environment
• Plan engagement activities, events, and team-building initiatives
3. Performance Management
• Implement appraisal systems (KPI/KRA setting)
• Monitor employee performance and provide feedback support
• Assist managers in performance reviews
4. Payroll & Compensation
• Oversee payroll processing (salary, bonuses, deductions)
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESI, gratuity, etc.)
• Maintain employee compensation records
5. HR Policies & Compliance
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
• Maintain employee records and documentation
6. Training & Development
• Identify training needs
• Organize skill development programs
• Support employee career growth initiatives
Administrative Responsibilities
7. Office Administration
• Oversee daily office operations
• Manage office supplies, vendors, and facilities
• Ensure workplace safety and cleanliness
8. Vendor & Facility Management
• Coordinate with vendors (housekeeping, security, maintenance)
• Negotiate contracts and manage service agreements
9. Asset Management
• Maintain records of company assets (laptops, furniture, equipment)
• Ensure proper allocation and tracking
10. Travel & Logistics
• Arrange travel bookings, accommodation, and transport for staff
• Manage logistics for meetings and events
11. Documentation & Record Keeping
• Maintain employee files and administrative records
• Handle official correspondence and documentation
Leadership & Coordination
• Supervise HR and admin staff
• Coordinate between departments
• Support senior management in strategic decisions
Key Skills Required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of HR laws and compliance (especially Indian labor laws)
• Organizational and multitasking ability
• Leadership and conflict resolution skills
• Problem-solving mindset
• Proficiency in HR/payroll systems

Required Qualification
PG/Graduate in HR, 5-6 years experience in Recruiting, HR Operations, Employee Engagement & Support, Compliance & Reporting, Logistics, Planning & Presentations.
