About the Organization

Himalayan Environment Lively Hood Promotion Society (HELP) came into existence to enhance the socio-economic status of the underprivileged people. Hailing from a rural family, the founder was no stranger to hardships faced by the underprivileged. Having overcome economic and social challenges, due to the backing and economic blessings from certain elder society leaders, the founder set out to do his best to make a positive difference in the lives of fellow underprivileged.
Working with a team of committed people, HELP’s aim has been to secure integrated development through people’s participation. The key areas identified for interventions include Sustainable Livelihood, Women Empowerment, Environment, Trainings & Education, Organic Farming, Agriculture, Horticulture, Watershed Development, Health and hygiene etc. Our efforts have developed lasting association with government, nongovernment and corporate organizations as also with the communities and groups with whom we have worked.
We have come a long way following a small beginning in year 1996, and have implemented a wide variety of projects related to quality education, watershed development, wasteland development, tribal development, low cost sanitation, alternate energy sources, self-help groups, farmer interest groups, farmer producer organization, vocational training to youth, and women empowerment in all the Districts of Uttarakhand state in India. While implementing different developmental projects, our thrust has always been on working through people’s participation. At HELP, we have always believed in developing the capacities and capabilities of the communities, and have always strived to channel their hidden energies for the betterment of society at large. Our efforts have always been directed towards creating an environment that is conducive of enhancing opportunities to local people to think and act positively. We have always endeavoured to develop skills and competencies of the local communities with a view to enabling them to operate and maintain the assets created through the implementation of the projects on sustainable basis.
This philosophy of ours has led us to adopt a holistic and participatory approach to rural development. We believe in inclusive approach, covering all the sections of the society, particularly the underprivileged, in a village. We work with the existing village level flora (and creating new ones wherever necessary) through Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approaches, principles and techniques.

Core Job Responsibilities of a Management Trainee
1. Learning & Training
• Undergo structured training programs across departments
• Learn company policies, processes, and business operations
• Participate in workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training
2. Departmental Rotations
• Work in different functions (HR, Finance, Operations, Sales, etc.)
• Gain hands-on experience in each department
• Understand cross-functional workflows
3. Assisting in Daily Operations
• Support team members in routine tasks
• Help in documentation, reporting, and coordination
• Ensure assigned tasks are completed on time
4. Project Support
• Assist in ongoing projects and initiatives
• Conduct research and data analysis
• Prepare presentations and reports for management
5. Data Analysis & Reporting
• Collect and analyze business data
• Identify trends and insights
• Prepare MIS reports using tools like Microsoft Excel or PowerPoint
6. Process Improvement
• Observe existing processes and suggest improvements
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions
• Support implementation of new strategies
7. Coordination & Communication
• Work with different teams and departments
• Communicate updates to supervisors
• Participate in meetings and discussions
8. Performance Monitoring
• Meet training and performance targets
• Take feedback from mentors and managers
• Continuously improve skills and knowledge
