About One Just World
One Just World is an advocacy organisation working on food systems, institutions, youth movement-building, and public discourse in India. Our work sits at the intersection of animals, environment, health, and justice, and we are committed to building a food system that is better for people, animals, and the planet.
About the Role
Effective advocacy requires more than good work; it requires that the right people encounter it. We have a dedicated team producing research, campaigns, and communications, but we do not currently have someone whose primary responsibility is ensuring that this work reaches relevant audiences and builds sustained visibility and partnerships. This role exists to fill that gap.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and maintain relationships with newsletters, networks, coalitions, and online communities across the food systems, animal, environment, and social justice spaces, and ensure our outputs are shared through these channels
• Support media outreach by maintaining a database of relevant journalists and editors, and working toward at least one placement per month in print or digital outlets
• Manage and grow our LinkedIn presence
• Engage with aligned organisations and individuals on Instagram to extend the organic reach of our work
What We Are Looking For:
• Strong understanding of how information travels online - across platforms, communities, and networks; and active engagement with digital discourse in relevant areas
• 2–3 years of experience in communications, outreach, or advocacy, preferably within civil society or the development sector
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and format across different audiences and platforms
• Genuine interest in food systems, environment, animal rights, animal welfare, or social justice
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time effectively
