About Azad Foundation

Azad is a professional feminist organization working across social and religious divides to enable resource poor women to empower themselves by engaging them in viable non- traditional livelihood options. Azad is committed to breaking patriarchal boundaries and structures so that the women can exercise control over their lives and live a life of dignity. This is done through transformative capacity building programs around the self and the skills needed for non-traditional livelihood, based on adult learning principles. Azad also engages with both men and women in their communities so that both can construct a safe and supportive space for their development. Currently Azad Foundation operates directly in Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata and Chennai and in partnership with other organizations in Indore, Bangalore and Ahmedabad.

Role Description – Key Responsibilities

Implement and manage Azad’s all programs in South Kolkata.
Facilitating all four programmes and respective teams (Women with Wheels, Feminist Leadership Program, Azad Kishori, & Men for Gender Justice) in planning and execution of their programmes as per the objective and approved plan and budgets & ensure programme quality is maintained.
Managing, analyzing and optimasing the utilization of budget.
Identify opportunities to strengthen programme execution.
Identify capacity building needs of team & ensure required interventions.
Plan and organize campaigns for gender equality that encourages women to join NTL in communities. Participate in campaigns organized by other organisations on similar issues
Ensure the development of related IEC, required for programme implementation.
Facilitate monthly meetings, quarterly programme reviews of the implementation of all programme and present learning analysis to the leadership.
Ensure that all training programmes in the centre are consulted in professional & learning oriented atmosphere
Holding teams of diverse people with flexibility and openness to new learning
Responsibility includes from enrollment to employment in WWW, which includes engagement with marginalized communities, holding transformative training programme and interact with market to place the wome.
Ensure placement targets for the location are met in both 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler.
Ensure women sustain in job in both 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler
Ensure marketing activities are carried out to develop new business opportunities to ensure women are placed in jobs as drivers.
Coordinating with placement team to ensure retention of existing clients, and onboarding new clients.
Responsible for bringing in new customers/clients to ensure placement targets are met. Develop new business to deliver on plan targets for the year
Follow up with drivers, chauffers and riders on job and see if there is need for refresher course and organize that to ensure retention in job
