Education Qualifications :
Essential : • Masters in Information Technology / Economics / Econometrics / Data Science / Statistics
Desirable :
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• In-depth understanding of economics and financial concepts.
• Awareness of current events and market trends
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software allows for data – driven decision making and evidence – based programming.
Experience :
• Minimum 8 years’ extensive experience relevant to job description
• Preference will be given to persons with work experience in economics & finance sectors., Implementation of programmes
• Familiarity with Data Analysis and Visualization tools like Stata, R, Tableau, Power BI, orother tolls to effectively analyse and present the Data.
• Candidates should also have demonstrated experience relating to working in team, managing projects as well as conducting stakeholder engagement.
Job description / Duties & Responsibilities :
• Maintain synergy between the Planning Department, LKI and NITI Aayog
• To assist state in achieving its objectives in collaboration with NITI Aayog and the LKI
• To monitor the KPIs related to Vision 2030 & 2047.
• Provide independent insight on strategy proposed by the concern department.
• To lead analytical work related to Production Efficiency Analysis, Value Chain Analysis, Market Access and Trade Analysis, Supply Chain Analysis, etc.
• To prepare various sector related state indices on line
• of indices prepared by NITI AAYOG, UN organizations etc.
• Preparation of Sector development strategies, sectoral targets, socio-economic goals, and State Vision @2047, as per UP's requirements and roadmap to achieve the same.
• Documentation of activities and emerging good practices performed
• Support in preparation of State, regional and sectoral reports on regular basis
• Evaluation and assessment of existing strategies, methodologies, and systems to improve the socio-economic condition of the State.
• Draft policy briefs, presentations, and other documents.
• Coordination with development partners and technical agency concerned.
• Support mechanisms for strengthening horizontal and vertical coordination within Government.
• Assist State in strengthening the innovation ecosystem and strengthening the monitoring and evaluation ecosystem
• Documentation of activities and emerging good practices performed by the PIU and DAU.
• Support regular updates on progress in State using the dashboard/portal maintained by NITI Aayog
• Support in organizing workshops and other events, including preparation of inputs for the workshops
• Share knowledge, experience, and best practices among stake holders
• Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor (Team Leader) as may be necessary in the interest of the Mission
Knowledge and Skills :
• Experience in Stake holder management
• Experience in drafting reports and reviewing detailed project Reports
• Prior experience with Government, UN agencies and other international organizations is desirable.
• Knowledge and experience related to National/State planning
• Excellent Analytical & Problem-solving skills
Languages Requirements :
• Excellent verbal and written English, Telugu language skills and demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural Environment.
