Introduction
CINI is a 50 years old non-profit, non-government organisation (NGO) registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in India. Over more than five decades, we have been partnering with central and state government, national and international donors, non-government organisations and local communities to strengthen the capacity of deprived children and women to improve their health, nutrition, education and protection conditions. Distilling international and national experience, we seek to learn from the poor to improve our interventions in under-serviced rural and urban areas. We aim at strengthening local governance processes that give marginalised and poor communities a voice and influence national policy. Founded in 1974, Child in Need Institute (CINI) with an experience of 50 years, reaches out to over 7 million population in the states of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. CINI received the National Award for child Welfare twice in 1985 and 2004. CINI is accredited by the Credibility Alliance in India and is registered with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences Corporate Social Responsibility Database. CINI has been working in Jharkhand since 2002 and is recognized as one of the Technical Support Agency, extending support to the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Department of Women, Child Development & Social Security, Department of Youth, Culture and Sports, Department of Labour, Employment, Training & Skill Development and Department of School Education & Literacy.

Scope of Work:
Child in Need Institute (CINI) is seeking for 1 District Coordinator, for Dumka to implement Project Kawach, supported by British Asian Trust.The British Asian Trust is a diaspora-led international development organisation working across education, child protection, livelihoods, conservation, and mental health in India. The Trust believes that complex social challenges require systemic, collaborative solutions that work alongside government systems.

Job Description:
1. The District Coordinator will work under the strategic guidance and management support from his/her Program Manager for successful implementation of the project as well as for generating and translating evidence to inform programmatic adaptation.
2. He/she will plan and develop program implementation strategies for the respective districts which are inclusive for all children, by leveraging the existing government structures/cadre, program and policies..
3. The candidate will be responsible for supporting district nodal departments in developing integrated child protection plans, advocating for integrating children issues into the DIP/PAP, GPDP and liaison with various line departments for incorporating child protection issues into their plans..
4. The role will support in strengthening of child protection structures and committees at district, block and panchayat levels as per Mission Vatsalya guideline.
5. The person will be primarily responsible for the system strengthening work in combating issues of child vulnerabilities, especially with regard to Child Marriage, Child Labour, Child Trafficking, etc. and streamline data management/reporting systems at the district.
6. The district coordinate will work very closely with district administration in fulfilling the project mandates and deliverable based indicators

Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in public health, social sciences, international development, or related field or equivalent experience.

Experience:
• A minimum of 5 - 7 years progressive responsibility with developmental organizations on child protection, child rights, disability inclusion, or similar work experience.

Age: 30 - 48 yrs.

Competencies:
• Demonstrated knowledge on child protection laws, acts, guidelines
• Strong proven ability for government liasoning, networking and alliance building with CSOs, district administration and line departments.
• Sound understanding of:
• Child protection structures, systems and networks in Jharkhand
• Working with children and child safeguarding issues
• Data reporting system and MIS in government portals related to child protection.
• Government structures, committees and bodies at different levels.
• Experience of handling multiple stakeholders and line departments in the government system – at state level.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and work collaboratively with local stakeholders and multi-stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Data Management, analysis, interpretation and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated experience in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptive management.
• Must be fluent in Hindi and English (spoken, written, and reading) and demonstrate effective written and verbal communication.
• Candidate should be able to drive two-wheeler (bike/scooty) for conducting field work

Key Note :

1 Candidates from local district would be given preference. But however it will not be a bar for willing qualified capable candidates from outside districts.

2 Suitable Candidates available to join within immediate basis (7-10 days) will be preferred highly

Remuneration / CTC: - Rs. 40,000/- per Month
