At the Improving Lives Foundation, we design and scale programs across healthcare, education, environment, and livelihoods. Our work is built on strong partnerships, community ownership, and systems thinking--so that programs don't just run, they sustain.

We work across multiple states in India with NGOs, government bodies, and private sector partners to build models that are practical, scalable, and built to last.



The Role

We're looking for a Program Manager who can take ownership and make things happen.

This is not a coordination-only role. You will be responsible for ensuring that programs are executed well--on the ground, on time, and with real outcomes.

You'll spend time in the field, with partners, and inside messy, real-world situations that require judgment, follow-through, and problem-solving.

If you prefer clearly defined tasks and slow-moving environments, this won't be a fit. If you like building, fixing, and figuring things out--you'll do well here.



What You Will Do

Program Execution

Support end-to-end implementation of CSR and development programs

Track timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple projects

Ensure programs move from plan to execution without delays

Field Engagement

Travel to program locations for monitoring and troubleshooting

Work directly with on-ground teams, NGOs, and stakeholders

Ensure program quality and consistency across locations

Monitoring & Reporting

Track progress against defined KPIs and outcomes

Support data collection, validation, and reporting

Prepare monthly updates and internal reviews

Stakeholder Coordination

Manage communication with partners, vendors, and internal teams

Follow up rigorously and keep projects moving forward

Problem Solving

Identify gaps in execution and step in to resolve them

Bring structure and clarity to ambiguous situations



Who We're Looking For

1-3 years of work experience (development sector, startups, consulting, or operations roles)

Strong execution ability--you don't wait to be told what to do

Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities

Good communication skills (written and verbal)

Willingness to travel and spend time on the ground

We value ownership, reliability, and problem-solving ability over formal qualifications.
Candidates without traditional management degrees are strongly encouraged to apply.
