About the Role (Finance and Operations Lead - Part Time)
The Finance and Compliance Lead is a senior leadership position responsible for ensuring the financial health, statutory compliance, and operational efficiency of the organisation. The role plays a critical part in strengthening financial governance, ensuring transparency, and aligning systems with donor and regulatory requirements, including HR and organisational systems.
Reporting Office: Kolkata CTC: ?50,000 per month Engagement - 3 days a week
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Provide financial guidance to leadership and Board
Monitor cash flow, fund utilisation, and sustainability
Financial Management & Reporting
Ensure accurate accounting, donor reporting, and grant tracking
Strengthen financial controls and audit systems
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with FCRA, Income Tax, CSR, and donor requirements
Coordinate audits and regulatory processes
Administration, HR & Operations
Oversee administration, procurement, logistics, and asset management
Strengthen HR systems, policies, and performance management
Supervise finance, HR, and administration teams
Build staff capacity and strengthen organisational systems and documentation

Qualifications & Experience
*Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA (Finance/HR) / Equivalent qualification
*10-15 years of relevant experience in the NGO/development sector
*Strong knowledge of FCRA, CSR, donor, and HR compliance
*Proven experience in leadership and team management
