Women's Organization for Socio Cultural Awareness (WOSCA)

Women's Organization for Socio-Cultural Awareness (WOSCA) is a voluntary organization established on 20th December 1993 in Keonjhar district of Odisha to serve the under privileged families with special focus on women and children. It has been registered under the Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 in the year 1993-94 and registered under FCRA in the year 2000. Since its inception it has been taking up need-based programs in areas where tribal concentration is more. Most of its programs are women focused. WOSCA is working on governance & livelihood, health & education, women & child rights, and preservation of environment. WOSCA at present covers 1,80,000 families through its 19 development projects in different parts of India. WOSCA is currently managing different health and nutrition projects such as Maternity Waiting Home (Maa Gruha), Nutrition Rehabilitation Center (NRC), Creches, Integrated Health & Nutrition Intervention project etc.

Position: Creche Manager
Location: Telkoi Block, Keonjhar

Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the lead operational and administrative resource for creche management, providing direct supervision and guidance across all creche centers in the Telkoi block.
* Ensure the effective implementation of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), health, hygiene, and nutrition protocols within all creche facilities in alignment with project goals.
* Monitor the daily functioning of creches, conducting regular field visits to ensure high standards of safety, child well-being, and age-appropriate learning environments.
* Analyze center-level data regarding child attendance, nutritional status (growth monitoring), and developmental milestones, generating actionable insights to strengthen program delivery.
* Engage with parents, community leaders, and local government stakeholders (such as Anganwadi Workers, ASHAs, and Panchayati Raj Institutions) to foster community ownership and awareness.
* Conduct needs assessments to identify capacity gaps among creche workers and helpers, and provide on-site supportive supervision, technical support, and training.
* Manage supply chain logistics and inventory for the creches, ensuring the timely availability of food rations, play materials, and basic first-aid supplies.
* Stay updated on best practices in early childhood development and rural childcare models, integrating relevant learnings to enhance the effectiveness of the creches.
* Support the documentation, timely reporting, and dissemination of program progress, success stories, and best practices.
* Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Program Manager in line with project requirements.
Required Competencies
Skills:
* Strong understanding of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), maternal and child nutrition, and grassroots service delivery
Educational Qualifications:
* MSW/ diploma in Nutrition.
Remuneration / Compensation:
* Salary will be consolidated INR 40,000 per month.
Work Experience:
* Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in nutrition-focused programs.
* Exposure to nutrition-sensitive health programming, including CD and/or NCD-related contexts, will be an added advantage.
* Familiarity with relevant software applications for data analysis and reporting.
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in nutrition and public health.
Travel Requirements:
* Must possess a valid two-wheeler driving license.
* Must have access to a two-wheeler for official travel.
* Should be willing and able to travel extensively to project locations, including rural and remote areas, as required.
Terms of Employment:
* This is a full-time position based in Telkoi block, Keonjhar.
* The initial contract will be for a period of 11 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project funding availability.
