Project Associate - Donor Management (NGO)

Role Summary
You are the first line of interaction between the organisation and its donors. Your job is not just to answer calls--it is to build trust, resolve concerns, and ensure donors feel heard, respected, and confident about their contributions.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls with donors in a professional and empathetic manner
- Respond to donor queries related to donations, receipts, impact, campaigns, and organisational activities
- Maintain accurate records of all donor interactions in CRM or tracking systems
- Follow up with donors for pending documentation, renewals, or feedback
- Escalate complex issues or complaints to the relevant internal teams promptly
- Support donor retention efforts through timely communication and relationship-building
- Ensure all communication reflects the organization's values and credibility

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong verbal communication skills (clarity, tone, confidence)
- High level of empathy and patience--especially with repetitive or sensitive queries
- Ability to handle difficult conversations without losing composure
- Basic data entry and CRM handling skills
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership over donor experience

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in customer service, tele-calling, or donor relations
- Experience working in NGOs or social sector (good to have, not mandatory)
- Fluency in Tamil & English is compulsory
