About TARA Training Centre (TTC)
TARA Training Centre (TTC) is the capacity-building and learning vertical of TARA, focused on strengthening child protection systems and improving the quality of care and support provided to children and families. TTC develops and delivers practical, field-oriented trainings for caregivers, social workers, outreach staff, institutional personnel, community stakeholders, and partner organisations.
The Centre aims to strengthen knowledge, skills, attitudes, and systems related to child protection, case management, family strengthening, gender sensitivity, safeguarding, psychosocial support, legal compliance, and quality childcare practices. TTC also supports organisational learning, compliance-related training needs, and the professional development of staff and associates.

Role Summary
The Training Officer will support the day-to-day functioning of TARA Training Centre (TTC) and play a key role in planning, coordinating, designing, and delivering trainings aligned with organisational priorities, statutory requirements, and identified learning needs.
The role requires a balance of training facilitation, content development, coordination, administration, documentation, and operational management. The Training Officer will work closely with the Strategy & Capacity Building Lead to ensure smooth execution of TTC activities and maintain high standards of quality, relevance, and documentation across all training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Training Design & Facilitation
Support the design and delivery of training sessions, workshops, orientations, and refresher programs for internal teams and external stakeholders.
Develop and adapt training content, session plans, presentations, handouts, activities, and learning materials based on identified needs.
Facilitate training on child protection, childcare practices, safeguarding, communication, documentation, case management, gender, life skills, and related themes.
Coordinate with internal and external subject matter experts and facilitators.
Support training needs assessments and help identify learning gaps across teams and programs.
Ensure trainings are participatory, practical, context-sensitive, and aligned with organisational values and child protection principles.
Conduct pre- and post-training assessments, collect feedback, and support learning evaluations.

Training Coordination & Operations
Manage end-to-end coordination of TTC trainings and capacity-building activities.
Prepare training calendars, schedules, participant lists, invitations, attendance records, and logistical plans.
Coordinate venues, training materials, refreshments, travel arrangements, and other operational requirements.
Liaise with trainers, vendors, partner organisations, and program teams for smooth execution of sessions.
Ensure timely communication and follow-up with participants and stakeholders.
Maintain training inventory, resource materials, and training-related assets.
Support budgeting, procurement coordination, and expense tracking related to TTC activities.

Documentation, Reporting & Knowledge Management
Maintain accurate and organised records of trainings, attendance, assessments, feedback, reports, photographs, and supporting documents.
Prepare training reports, summaries, dashboards, and data trackers.
Support the development and maintenance of TTC documentation systems, databases, and resource repositories.
Compile learning insights, case examples, and best practices emerging from trainings.
Ensure documentation and reporting requirements are completed in a timely and professional manner.
Support compliance-related documentation and audit requirements linked to trainings and capacity-building initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Coordinate with internal departments, field teams, childcare institutions, and partner organisations regarding training requirements.
Build positive working relationships with trainees, facilitators, consultants, and external partners.
Support communication related to TTC events, workshops, and learning initiatives.
Represent TTC professionally during trainings, meetings, and external engagements.

Organisational Support
Support implementation of organisation-wide capacity-building plans.
Support the review, revision, updating, and dissemination of organisational policies, SOPs, guidelines, and training-related documents in alignment with legal requirements, safeguarding standards, and organisational needs.
Coordinate with different departments to support organisational learning and capacity-building requirements.
Collaborate with the HR team on staff onboarding, inductions, orientation sessions, and capacity-building support linked to recruitment and staff development.
Assist the Strategy & Capacity Building Lead in strengthening systems, processes, and learning frameworks for TTC.
Contribute to the development of new training modules, manuals, and learning initiatives.
Support special projects, events, exposure visits, and learning forums organised by TTC.
Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager in line with the role.

Risk Management
Take part in identifying and evaluating the risks to the organisation's people (beneficiaries, staff, management, volunteers), property, finances, goodwill, and image and suggests measures to control risks.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Human Development, or related field.
2-4 years of relevant experience in training, capacity building, program coordination, learning and development, or child protection programs.
Experience in facilitating trainings or group sessions preferred.
Experience working with NGOs, social development organisations, child protection systems, or community-based programs will be an advantage.
