Position: TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR

Location: Head Office at Howrah, West Bengal
Reporting: Executive Director/ Approved Authority
Assignment: Full-time

Howrah Service to the Poor Social Welfare and Community Development Centre, popularly known as (HSP) has been working for more than four decades for underprivileged and disabled people, irrespective of class, caste, creed, and ethnicity, taking care and empowering them through 3 different fields: Rehabilitation Homes, Education, and Healthcare. With approximately over 300 staff, this NGO serves more than 47,000 beneficiaries spread over four districts of West Bengal: Howrah, Asansol, Jalpaiguri.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and review construction drawings, designs, and specifications.
* Supervise day-to-day construction activities at the site.
* Ensure work is carried out according to approved plans and safety standards.
* Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
* Estimate quantities of materials and project costs.
* Monitor project schedules and progress.
* Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and government authorities.
* Manage labor, materials, and equipment efficiently.
* Ensure compliance with local building codes and environmental regulations.
* Prepare project reports, bills, and documentation.
* Resolve technical problems arising during construction.
* Land survey and tax associates, estimation and costing, land documentation
* Assess/ monitor all property related requirements and provide monthly report.
* Develop and Follow up preventive maintenance of existing system.
* Budget preparation and material purchase
* Tender preparation for new constructions and maintenance
* Day to day management and maintenance related work

Functional Skills:

* Planning and organization Skill
I. Knowledge of construction methods and materials
II. Structural and site engineering understanding
III. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations
IV. Problem-solving and decision-making
* Good communication skill, specially on English
* Good reporting skill

IT Skills:
* Knowledge in Auto Cad
* Computer proficiency

Qualification: B Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering

Experience: experience of at least 3-5 years

Salary: Rs 20000 to Rs.22000 per month according to experience and knowledge.
