Short Term Consultant for Renewable Energy Programme
Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), founded in 1980, is a public-interest research and advocacy organisation based in New Delhi. CSE plays a critical role in analyzing developments and challenges in the fast-changing renewable energy sector. The transition to clean and renewable energy is essential for increasing energy access and supporting sustainable growth, and it remains one of the primary solutions to mitigate the severe impacts of climate change.
We are building a team that will work on various aspects of energy policy, technologies, end-use applications, energy accessibility, and equitable resource use.
About the Programme
CSE’s Renewable Energy Programme (REP) is committed to advancing the study of the most pressing issues related to clean energy development in India, as well as the interventions that shape our response to energy access, energy security, and sustainable development. With this principle in mind, the renewable energy team conducts and disseminates research on emerging clean energy policies and technologies and their practical adoption. The team also helps build the capacities of various stakeholders through capacity building programmes and workshops to create multipliers.
Acknowledging our role as members of the global community, we are the change-makers who work to raise awareness about resources, technologies, and practices beyond purely financial considerations.

As part of the team, the selected candidate will be a member of the Project Management Unit based in Lucknow. The candidate will report to the Programme Manager based in Delhi, who will be overall responsible for the project.
