Bhittibhumi Seva Sangathan: Bhittibhumi has emerged as a response to persistent poverty and allied challenges of western region of Orissa. Despite abundance of natural resources and rich agricultural base the region and communities belonging to rural poor, marginalized &socially excluded reduce to vulnerable over the years. Further rapid exploitation and degradation of the resource base by vested interest groups including political agents have been posing threats to the very existence of aboriginal communities of the locality whose subsistence and substantial stands like socio-economic& cultural lives traditionally depended on natural resources.
Position Summary: The accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting financial planning and reporting for various programs of the organization.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -
* Maintain accurate books of accounts (Receipts & Payments, Income & Expenditure, Balance Sheet).
* Prepare vouchers, bills, invoices and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions along with valid supporting document.
* Reconcile accounts, track expenses, and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
* Maintain project-wise accounts and financial records.
* Preparing of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
* Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements (society compliances, GST, TDS, PF & others as applicable).
* Coordinate with chartered Accountant for statutory audit.
* Coordinate with program team for budget utilization and provide periodic variance reports.
* Maintain proper record (physical and digital) of all financial documents.
* Preparation of utilization certificates and financial statements for donor organisations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: -
* Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B. Com) or related field (M. Com preferred).
* Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting (preferably in development sector organization).
* Compulsory knowledge of accounting software (Tally etc).
* Good knowledge of GST, TDS, EPF and other statutory compliances and a strong knowledge in IT,FCRA compliances .
* Strong attention towards minute financial details & accuracy.
* Fluency in speaking, writing, reading English and Odia.
* High level of integrity and confidentiality.
