About the Program
Under its TB portfolio, Jhpiego supports the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP) in implementing innovative and evidence-based strategies to accelerate TB case detection and improve treatment outcomes.

The Cough Syrup Surveillance Initiative aims to identify presumptive TB cases through pharmacy-level monitoring of cough syrup sales and strengthen referral linkages for timely TB screening, diagnosis, and treatment initiation.

About the Position
The Data Coordinator – TB will serve as the focal point for data management, analytics, and performance tracking for the Cough Syrup Surveillance Initiative. The position will be responsible for strengthening data systems, ensuring high-quality and real-time reporting, and generating actionable insights to support program implementation and decisionmaking.

The role requires close coordination with divisional teams, state program teams, and MERL units to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and effective utilization of data for program improvement and reporting.

Roles and Responsibilities Data: System Management :
• Develop and manage data systems, trackers, and reporting tools for cough syrup surveillance activities.
• Design and maintain standardized databases for pharmacy onboarding, referrals, diagnostic outcomes, and TB case detection.
• Support integration of surveillance data with existing reporting platforms and dashboards.

Data Collection, Validation, and Quality Assurance :
• Ensure timely collection, validation, cleaning, and verification of program data.
• Identify data inconsistencies, reporting gaps, and missing information and support corrective actions.
• Coordinate with field teams to strengthen reporting compliance and data quality standards.
• Maintain accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of surveillance data.

Data Analysis and Performance Tracking :
• Analyze program data to track key performance indicators and implementation progress.
• Generate actionable insights to support program planning and decision-making.
• Identify trends, gaps, and low-performing geographies for targeted interventions.

Dashboard Development and Visualization :
• Develop and maintain dashboards and visualization tools for state and district-level monitoring.
• Prepare data visualizations, presentations, and analytical summaries for program and government stakeholders.
• Support periodic review meetings with evidence-based data presentations.

Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and donor reports as per project requirements.
• Support development of technical reports, presentations, briefs, and documentation products.
• Ensure timely submission of reports and maintenance of data repositories and version control systems.

Coordination and Capacity Building :
• Coordinate with Divisional Coordinators, MERL teams, and program staff to ensure smooth data flow and reporting.
• Conduct orientation and refresher trainings on reporting tools, data entry, and data quality standards.
• Provide ongoing technical support to field teams on data management processes.

Data-Driven Program Strengthening :
• Support use of program data for real-time monitoring, decision-making, and course correction.
• Provide inputs for strengthening surveillance strategies based on emerging trends and findings.
• Contribute to evidence generation, program learning, and scale-up efforts.

Other Responsibilities :
• Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or program leadership to support project objectives.

Qualifications and Experience :
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Computer Applications, Life Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in data management and analysis within public health programs.
• Experience working with NTEP or similar public health programs preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in data cleaning, validation, reporting systems, and analytics.
• Experience working with NGOs/development sector preferred.
• Familiarity with health MIS systems and reporting platforms preferred.

Skills and Competencies :
• Strong data management and analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with data visualization tools.
• Experience in dashboard development using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms preferred.
• Ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights for program improvement.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple datasets, priorities, and timelines effectively.
