About the Project
Sabuj Sangha, with support from LTIMindtree, is implementing the “Centre for Excellence on Rural Livelihood” project in Kumargram Block of Alipurduar. The project focuses on women-led livelihood promotion, eco-friendly enterprises, handicraft development, financial inclusion, market linkage, and community institution strengthening. Through innovative and sustainable livelihood models such as Areca Leaf Processing, Mekhla Weaving, and Upcycled Handicraft Production, the initiative aims to improve economic resilience and empower rural women and marginalized communities.
Job Title : Community Mobilizer
Location: Kumargram Block, Alipurduar
Salary: INR 10,000/- per month
Job Summary:
Sabuj Sangha is looking for motivated and community-oriented Community Mobilizers to support grassroots implementation of the project in target villages. The candidate will be responsible for beneficiary mobilization, conducting awareness meetings, coordinating with SHGs and community institutions, supporting field-level activities, and ensuring active participation of women and vulnerable households in project interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct village-level awareness meetings and beneficiary mobilization activities.
• Identify and enroll eligible beneficiaries from target communities.
• Coordinate with SHGs, PRI members, youth groups, and local leaders.
• Support implementation of training, meetings, and livelihood activities at field level.
• Conduct household visits, baseline surveys, and community follow-ups.
• Maintain beneficiary records and field activity reports.
• Facilitate participation of women, SC/ST communities, and vulnerable households.
• Support community engagement, grievance handling, and awareness campaigns.
• Assist in organizing workshops, exposure visits, and field events.
• Act as a bridge between the community and project team.
• Any other responsibilities assigned by the management related to programme implementation.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Graduate or Higher Secondary pass with relevant field experience.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in community mobilization or grassroots development work.
• Good communication skills in Bengali/Hindi/local language.
• Familiarity with SHGs, rural communities, and government schemes preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively within project villages.
• Preference will be given to local candidates from Alipurduar/Dooars region.
• Passion for community development and women empowerment.
