MANT is a non-profit organisation that has worked in public health and community development in West Bengal since 1960. We run health, nutrition, education, and livelihood programmes in rural and tribal areas, and our work reaches around 1.5 million people a year. We are registered on the Social Stock Exchange and hold ISO 9001:2015 certification.
We are now recruiting for two roles: a Project Manager for our CSR-supported health project, and an Admin and Operations Associate at our head office. If you care about better health and a fair deal for underserved communities, we would like to hear from you.
Position : Project Manager (1 position)
Project: CSR Health Project 2026-27
Location: North 24 Parganas and Kolkata, West Bengal
Duration: One year, extendable based on performance and funding
Remuneration: Rs 25,000 per month (consolidated)
This project works to improve maternal and child health, close nutrition gaps, raise vaccination coverage, and strengthen community health systems in selected rural areas of West Bengal. The Project Manager will lead the work on the ground and keep it on track.
Eligibility
- Master's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Rural Development, or an allied field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in health sector projects, especially maternal and child health, nutrition, vaccination, and community-based health systems strengthening.
- Strong grasp of government health schemes such as JSY, JSSK, ICDS, and Poshan Abhiyaan.
- A proven record in team leadership, programme coordination, reporting, and donor communication.
- Excellent spoken and written communication in Bengali (mandatory) and English.
- Willingness to travel often to field locations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, and quality assurance of all project activities.
- Supervise field teams and keep work in line with plans, timelines, and performance indicators.
- Coordinate with local health departments, Panchayati Raj Institutions, and ICDS centres.
- Track outputs and outcomes, and manage the MIS for real-time monitoring of project indicators.
- Organise and lead community outreach, health camps, and mobilisation drives.
- Prepare clear progress reports, donor updates, success stories, and policy briefs.
- Stay within budget, track expenses, and keep fund use transparent.
Work details
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, from the office
Saturday: Work from home
Travel: Occasional visits to project sites as required
