About Anahat For Change Foundation:
Anahat For Change Foundation is a women-led non-profit organisation working towards building a gender-just society by enabling girls and women to achieve better outcomes in education, health and livelihoods through community-led programmes. Our work spans multiple states and focuses on adolescent empowerment, gender equality, menstrual health, education continuity, youth leadership, livelihoods and systems strengthening.
About the Project:
Project Udaan – Football for Development is a sports-based adolescent empowerment programme implemented by Anahat For Change Foundation. The programme uses football as a powerful medium to build girls' confidence, leadership, life skills and resilience while supporting their continued education and successful transition to secondary school. Working closely with government schools, families and local stakeholders, the project aims to create safe, inclusive spaces where adolescent girls can learn, lead and thrive.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a passionate, energetic and committed Sports cum Program Coordinator to lead the implementation of the Football for Development programme in Koderma district. The selected candidate will work directly with adolescent girls, schools, families and community stakeholders to deliver football coaching sessions, facilitate life skills education and ensure effective implementation of programme activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Football Coaching & Life Skills:
• Conduct four football coaching sessions per week across two government schools.
• Integrate life skills, leadership and gender equality concepts into football sessions.
• Promote teamwork, communication, confidence, resilience and decision-making among adolescent girls.
• Organise football festivals, friendly matches, sports events and leadership camps.
• Ensure safe, inclusive and engaging participation of all girls.
2. School Engagement:
• Coordinate programme implementation across two government schools in Bendi and Gajhandi.
• Operate one weekly Help Desk in each school to support girls with school transition, retention and educational concerns.
• Coordinate with Headmasters, teachers and School Management Committees.
• Track attendance and follow up with girls who are at risk of dropping out.
• Support enrolment and transition of girls into Classes IX and XI.
3. Community Mobilisation:
• Build strong relationships with parents, Panchayats, frontline workers and community leaders.
• Conduct parent meetings and community awareness sessions promoting girls' education and participation in sports.
• Conduct home visits and regular follow-up with girls and their families.
• Facilitate access to government schemes and entitlements for eligible and vulnerable girls.
4. Programme Coordination:
• Prepare monthly implementation plans and activity calendars.
• Ensure timely execution of all programme activities.
• Coordinate project events, exposure visits and leadership camps.
• Work closely with the Programme Manager to achieve project targets and milestones.
5. Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain attendance registers, beneficiary records and programme documentation.
• Conduct baseline, endline and periodic assessments as per project requirements.
• Update MIS and programme databases on a regular basis.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports in the prescribed formats.
• Document case studies, success stories, photographs and field learnings.
• Support donor reporting, monitoring visits and external evaluations.
6. Stakeholder Coordination:
• Liaise with Block and District Education officials and other relevant government departments.
• Coordinate with partner schools and local institutions for smooth implementation.
• Represent Anahat For Change Foundation at block and district-level meetings whenever required.
• Support visits by donors, project partners and external evaluators.
Eligibility:
Applicants should possess:
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, Social Work, Education or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in sports coaching, education, community development or adolescent programmes.
• Experience working with adolescent girls and rural communities will be preferred.
• Strong communication, facilitation and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Koderma district.
Essential Requirements:
• Female candidate.
• Must know how to ride a scooty.
• Must own a personal scooty (travel allowance will be provided as per project norms).
• Must own a personal laptop.
• Comfortable working in rural field locations.
• Fluency in Hindi is essential.
• Knowledge of local dialects will be an added advantage.
