About Vatsalya

Vatsalya is a not-for-profit organization working since 1995 in the areas of maternal and child health, adolescent empowerment, education, gender equality, child protection, and community development across Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

About the Project

The Saksham Project aims to empower adolescent girls through community-based interventions by strengthening their access to education, health, life skills, entitlements, and protection. The project works closely with adolescents, parents, schools, frontline workers, Panchayati Raj Institutions, and government departments to create a supportive environment for girls to realize their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
Mobilize and facilitate adolescent girls' and boys' groups at the village level.
Conduct life skills, health, gender, and child protection awareness sessions.
Organize meetings with parents, Child Protection Committees, schools, and community stakeholders.
Conduct regular home visits, counselling, and community mobilization activities.
Coordinate with ASHAs, Anganwadi Workers, teachers, and government officials.
Maintain project records, documentation, and MIS.
Support surveys, reporting, case documentation, and donor visits.
Participate in training programmes and review meetings.
Ensure achievement of project targets and quality implementation.
Essential Qualification
Graduate in Social Work, Sociology, Rural Development, Psychology, Education, or any relevant discipline.
Candidates with MSW will be preferred.
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in community mobilization or implementation of NGO/development projects.
Experience in adolescent programmes, gender, child protection, education, health, or life skills projects will be preferred.
Required Skills
Strong community mobilization and facilitation skills.
Good communication skills in Hindi (English working knowledge will be an added advantage).
Ability to conduct group meetings, counselling, and awareness sessions.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within the project area.
Preferred Candidate
Female candidates and candidates residing in or near Barabanki District will be preferred.
Immediate joining will be an added advantage.
