Samvedna is a Bhopal-based non-profit organization working to prevent caste-based commercial sexual exploitation and promote the rights of women, children, and vulnerable communities in Madhya Pradesh. Through education, child protection, livelihood promotion, community mobilization, and gender-transformative interventions, Samvedna empowers vulnerable families and strengthens community-based systems for sustainable social change. The organization currently works in Bhopal, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Guna, Raisen, and Sagar districts of Madhya Pradesh in partnership with communities and government stakeholders.
Job Summary:
The Community Mobilizer will play a key role in implementing Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response activities at the community level. The position requires close coordination with community members, women, adolescents, Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), frontline workers, schools, and government departments to increase awareness, strengthen community participation, identify vulnerable individuals, facilitate referrals, and support project implementation.
Each Community Mobilizer will be responsible for approximately 2-3 villages within the project area.
Key Responsibilities
Community Mobilization
? Mobilize community members to participate in GBV awareness and prevention activities.
? Build strong relationships with village leaders, Panchayat representatives, Self Help Groups (SHGs), youth groups, women's collectives, and community-based organizations.
? Organize village meetings, community dialogues, awareness campaigns, rallies, and special events.
? Promote community ownership and participation in project activities.
Awareness and Behaviour Change Communication
Conduct awareness sessions on:
? Gender Equality
? Gender-Based Violence (GBV)
? Domestic Violence
? Child Marriage
? Human Trafficking
? Sexual Harassment
? Child Protection
? Women's Rights
? Legal Rights and Government Schemes
Use participatory approaches and IEC/BCC materials to promote positive behaviour change.

Household Outreach
? Conduct regular household visits across assigned villages.
? Identify vulnerable women, adolescent girls, children, persons with disabilities, and families requiring support.
? Promote awareness of available government services and protection mechanisms.
? Ensure respectful, confidential, and survivor-centred interactions.

Case Identification and Referral
? Identify GBV-related cases through field outreach and community engagement.
? Provide first-line support in accordance with project protocols.
? Facilitate timely referrals to appropriate services, including Health Facilities, One Stop
Centres (OSC), Protection Officers, Police, Child Welfare Committee (CWC), District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Women & Child Development Department, and other service providers.
? Maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding standards in all case-related work.

Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate regularly with:
? ASHA Workers
? Anganwadi Workers (AWW)
? ANMs
? Panchayat Representatives
? School Teachers
? Village Level Committees
? Women & Child Development Department
? Health Department
? Police Department
? District Administration
? Other relevant stakeholders
Support convergence and strengthen referral mechanisms at the community level.

Capacity Building Support
? Support planning and facilitation of community trainings and orientation programmes.
? Assist in organizing workshops and stakeholder meetings.
? Encourage community leadership and volunteer engagement.

Documentation and Reporting
? Conduct baseline, endline, household surveys, and need assessments.
? Maintain beneficiary records and village profiles.
? Document project activities, attendance, meeting minutes, success stories, and case studies.
? Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
? Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities.

Expected Deliverables
? Effective coverage of approximately 2-3 assigned villages.
? Regular community meetings and awareness sessions.
? Timely identification and referral of GBV cases.
? Strong coordination with community institutions and government departments.
? Accurate field documentation and reporting.
? Achievement of project targets and indicators.

Qualification
? Graduate in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Rural Development, Women's Studies, or any relevant discipline.
? Candidates with relevant field experience may also be considered.
Experience
? Minimum 1–2 years of experience in community mobilization or the development sector.
? Experience in Gender, Women Empowerment, Child Protection, Public Health, Education, or Rural Development projects will be preferred.
? Experience working with government departments and frontline workers is desirable.

Required Skills
? Strong community mobilization and facilitation skills.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
? Knowledge of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), women's rights, and child protection.
? Ability to work independently in rural communities.
? Good documentation and reporting skills.
? Basic computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Google Forms, mobile-based data collection applications).
? Willingness to travel extensively across assigned villages.

Languages
? Fluency in Hindi is essential.
? Basic English reading and writing skills are desirable.

Preferred Candidate
? Resident of Vidisha District or nearby areas.
? Familiar with the social and cultural context of Nateran Block.
? Passionate about gender equality, women's empowerment, and community development.
? Able to work effectively with diverse communities and government stakeholders.
